So I just got the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft and have been trying seeds but they never work for me? (They work, but don't create the world I was expecting).
Is there a good place to get seeds?
I'm looking for a world that has floating islands.
You can look through seeds that other people have posted here. If you would like to request a seed with certain features or biomes, please post here. Please keep in mind that older seeds in those sections may not match the description people have given them because they were created in older title updates.
Give this a try. When you create a new world, enter any number in the Seed for the World Generator box. It can be anything from zero to 9,999,999,999,999,999,999. you can also add a negative sign in front (-). There are a trillion possibilities. Or try checking Superflat world under more options to get a flat blank canvas to test stuff or build whatever you can think of.
There are two things to consider when shopping for seeds from online posts:
1) Is the seed for the Xbox Edition or another platform? For best results, the seed being researched should be specified for the Xbox, although the central area of some PC seeds for the equivalent versions MAY be similar (but not exactly the same).
2) Is the seed for the appropriate version of the Xbox Edition. The current title update version is TU13, which was first released on October 2, 2013. Therefore posts to the Seeds Lists on the forums have to be dated later than that to be valid if you're running that version. Note that it is also possible that you may be running TU9 IF you have the disc version and have not connected your Xbox online to Xbox Live in order to allow it to update to a more current version. TU9 was released on April 4, 2013 and TU10 (bug fix) was released on April 16, 2013.

TU13 was a bug fix for the content change that occurred in TU12 (Released : August 23, 2013)... but that only gives you about 1 and a half more weeks worth of seeds to sift through. Anything prior to this could be drastically different as Jungles were added/introduced in TU12

Seeds work IF they're used in the right platform
Try Search, using "360 floating island". I found 51 threads, including:
