When I first entered my world, I got killed several first nights. Then I found the village. I stayed there. Ventured out during the day, but ran back there at night. I could never find any coal. So finally, I stole their torches on the big post. I went my way, settled my keep. After awhile I went back to the village when I learned you need them. Only 2 villagers left & 2 iron golums. So I started fixing up the village. Added houses, gravel walkways, more wheat & added pumpkin & melon patches - torches everywhere. One day, one of the villagers just walked off, never to be seen again. & a golum did the same thing. So I was left with one lonely villager & 1 iron golum. I put more torches all around & built more houses. I went in my world in creative. I did a fly over looking for other villages. There were none. So I had to cheat & spawned one more villager. They bred. My village was finally growing. It grew to 3 iron golums & alot of villagers. So I went my way. I would check back from time to time. It seemed to have settled on 3 iron golums - stayed that way for a long while. Well, last night I went in in creative mode. Did a fly over (looking for animals) & to my surprised, my village now has 8 IRON GOLUMS!!! & villagers everywhere!!! I couldn't believe it. One of the golums had a dark red rose in his hand, offering it to a villager - lol! So I guess they liked my additions. I couldn't figure why the one villager just walked off after I had done so much work on his town, but I bet he wished he had stayed....villagers running all over the place!!! Thought it was pretty neat....how it grew so much while I was gone. just wish we had other types of humans other then villagers......
Yea, i figured he bit the dust. I did another fly over looking for other passive mobs. The population changes. Now there are only 7 iron golums & didn't seem to be as many villagers either. Must of been a massive attack last night. I find some of them just standing outside houses. They all try to get in the same few houses....I have ALOT of houses in my world for them. & most are empty at night.....Any idea why they all try to cram in 2 or 3 houses when there are plenty to go around?
