I made an iron golem farm and i put two villagers in four pods around the farm. In three of the pods the villagers started to breed but only made one villager. Its been six full cycles and they still havent started to breed yet. Is there anything im doing wrong?
It sounds like you haven't done anything wrong at all.
But there may be other factors in play here. Is there a large village in your world? Or a couple? If so, you've probably run into one of the quirks of Xbox. There's a villager cap. You may have to take your preferred weapon and downsize the Villager population. Or kidnap a couple more villagers to get your pods up to 4 villagers each. Each method has it's downsides. If you kill some, they could breed where you don't want them to. In the village, not in your farm. If you relocate them.. well it's just a hassle shoving Villagers into minecarts.
I've had this problem myself a couple times. I usually just relocate more villagers. Up to you tho.

Ive already killed all of the other villagers in the world, and the farm is about 70 blocks away from a village. If i destroy that village will they start to breed? P.S. my gamertag is Jack The BA if youd like to join my world to help me fix the spawner

I made a big house with a door and then blocked them off with fences so they wouldnt wander and I got them to make 2 kids within 30 minutes.. Not sure what helps but the house was aesthetically pleasing (beds, carpet, decor, etc) maybe the enviroment matters? My son got jealous because he couldn't get his to breed.. but he made a simple house and little decorations....?? maybe bed matters too?

Villages dont need aesthetics for breeding purposes, they started breeding, but they stopped after 3, and i still need 5 more

Actually, there is no cap on villagers because i had a breeding cell and i left my xbox on all night and by the morning the game was soo soo lagge the villagers glitched so out like 500 blocks!
there must be a cap. I was breeding them. Went to build some houses in another area & spawn them with the eggs from creative mode.....said I had reach maximum villagers. I just waited a couple of MC days & then spawned them. These little guys commit siuicide!!! I've seen them jump off bridges, cliffs - LOL!!!!
There is a villager mob cap. It's set at 50. Like RenegadeFade said, you have to make sure that no other villagers are running around anywhere. Sucks because I wanted a complete Iron Golem farm with 4 spawning cells but you need 64 villagers for that.
