I was looking for my End portal today but I wasnt having any luck. I used Eye of Enders to make my way to the stronghold, and explored pretty much all of it. One thing that troubled me was no end portal. I threw eyes of ender and they always went to the same spot in the stronghold. I dug all the way to bedrock without finding any evidence of the portal. Is it possible that is doesn't exist in my world? There are a few spots the SH opens to caves and ravines but Idk if that means anything.
My seed is 6649986548975982577 and the coordinates of my SH entrance is X:-72 Y: 68 Z:90
Can anyone else give it a try and find it? Props to you of you do thanks.
One other thing I forgot to mention was that when I created the world, I used my GT (Hendrixdude77) as the seed in the world generator. Idk if that effects the end portal or not.
To answer your second question first: No, entering your gamertag as the seed will have absolutely no effect on whether or not an End Portal generates. The algorithm responsible for generating worlds doesn't care what you type. You can even use some colorful language, if you'd like.
The only thing I can suggest (without looking at the seed myself) is to re-explore the Stronghold. Its possible you just missed the Portal room. Try listening for the sounds of silverfish since they only spawn in Portal rooms.
The other possibility is that you were unfortunate enough to find a world where a ravine has generated through the Portal room, destroying the portal frame.
Okay, thanks for the help bud! I'm not going to give up searching and I hope I or someone else can help me find it.Also like I said, one library and a cell room end with unfinished ceilings and walls into open chasms and caves. Therefore it could be possible the portal was destroyed. I hope not, this is my best seed yet lol
.
On the Xbox, the Eyes of Ender only take you to a point in the stronghold. They do not take you to the portal room. Also, strongholds can be very large and also exist in more than one part. That is, you may break through a stone wall at the end of hallway that you think represents the end of the stronghold only to find that the stronghold continues on beyond that stone. I have seen several portal rooms completely separated from the main stronghold.
Another possibility is if your terrain in your world was first generated over the course of more than one update. Since terrain first generates as it is first explored by the player and since the location of strongholds changes sometimes with different updates to the game, it is possible for a stronghold first generated after an update to get "cut off" by terrain generated before that update (when there was no stronghold in that location).
So, if you know that all the terrain around your stronghold was generated during the same update interval, then I would just keep looking.
Man thank you guys so much, I'm gonna look as soon as i get home! The minecraft community is one of the most helpful out here! Add me if you wanna play sometime! GT: HendrixDude77 thanks again!!!
Im having that exact problem Please can someone help? seed: 5545866307947982560 can't find the spawner but have looked everywhere for it within the stronghold
I'd like to look for you, but I have bypassed the last couple of updates... so it is likely that my generation of your seed would not precisely match yours anyway. The Xbox 360 was re-programmed in such a way that an intact end portal should exist on EVERY seed (except, of course, for superflat seeds and those where the creator opts to not generate structures). Ravines and such may intersect the stronghold in such a way that the portal room is not connected to the main body of the stronghold and portions of the portal room may be destroyed... but the portal itself will always be intact. I suggest you keep looking in the areas just beyond where your stronghold seems to end and you'll probably find that the stronghold actually continues on beyond in one direction or another.
The only other situation that can disrupt stronghold/portal generation is if you generated a seed in one update and finished exploring it in another. In this case, if the update caused the location of the stronghold to shift, it is possible that it moved from the unexplored area to the already explored area in the earlier update. Since the game does not overwrite already explored terrain, this would preclude the generation of the stronghold or portions of it (i.e. the portal room).
