My son and I have been playing in/building a world. My son went to the End and started to build a "base". Alas, he is now stuck there. Whenever he attempts to leave, he locks up the console. He tried using the portal... killing himself... getting killed... making new portals. Etc etc... Everything ends the same... concole lock!!

Anybody have the same experience? Any suggestions?

Check your world for any maps that might be in an item frame, this is likely your problem, simply remove it, save the game and try to have him exit again, it 'should' work.

Thanks for your responses. We tried your suggestions and it still locks up the system if you try to leave.

Is there. Way to reset the End??

He could try to empty his personal contents into a chest and kill himself by diving off the edge... this has worked for some people to exit the end, but most people have had the most success by having a second player remove the maps in item frames from the main world.

My guess is your missing maps that are in item frames, keep looking, and remove them all, save each time you remove one, reload and try to exit.
