hello everyone, this is my first post and hope it is in the correct place.
about 2 months ago i started a survival world on my xbox minecraft. i made a house and all and everything was going good. i stopped playing minecraft about 2 weeks after i made the world. i didnt come back to the world till a few days ago. i started up minecraft and loaded the world. i spawned where i left off but i turned around and there was a pond under my animal pen and i was freaking out. i went into my house and there was a pond inside my house as well. it made the door glitched and there was only half of it there. trees had respawned from where i cleared them. just to make it clear there were never ponds there to begin with. i left without saving to hope that it could have been undone. i havent gone back to it i would like to have some input from you other forumgoers before i go back into the world.
Sounds like your world was hit with some freaky terrain generation glitch. I guess Hexxit isn't the only one with this problem.
I suppose all you can do is fix it and move on like I do.....
The door glitch is a pretty common one... really just a visual thing though and it doesn't affect how the door functions.
Is your base near the world edge? This could be related to a glitch I had a couple of updates back where I had lava and water appearing and reappearing near the world edge; but to the best of my experience, 4J fixed that one... at least, the issue hasn't happened to me since they said they fixed it.
Also, are you sure your game is properly up to date?
my game is up to date and i haven't even seen the edge of the world on any worlds lol didn't know they had an edge
well ill check back to the world today and if it happens again ill see if i can post some pics
considering 90% of maps spawn you in the south east within 100-200 blocks of the world edge, i find it hard to believe you've never seen the edge. and im pretty sure everyone knows they have an edge, even in PC they have an egde.

Aah... another PC user lost on the Xbox forums perhaps? If you were playing on the Xbox, you would have almost certainly encountered the edge of your world by now. As Kaiju pointed out, the PC world also does have an edge, it's just a lot farther raway from spawn, so not many people on the PC have encountered their world edge. If you are playing on the Xbox, by all means, please post pictures... although they wouldn't really prove that you're not placing the water there yourself or that someone else isn't just griefing your map on you. If it is like the blocks reappearing bug that I encountered, you may want to post a report on the official bugs thread. At the time I was encountering it, they did manage to replicate the issue themselves and did do a bug fix for it. IF they haven't actually fixed the entire problem, I'm sure that they would want to be made aware of it. As I said, I haven't encountered the issue since they fixed it.
it is on my xbox version, i might have seen the edge before, idk maby the edge is in the water which i haven't explored. well i went back to it and it was all better. so problem solved (on its own). thanks for all the input

Yeah, the edge is in the water... if you have a map, the edge is at the borders of the map... once explored.
what i mean is that the border might just happen to be in the water im not saying that the border is water
In ALL MCX360 maps I've seen (at least so far), there is a water/ocean buffer around the entire map out to open sea... if you are near bedrock, you can dig to the border under the sea, and see the blocks that are supposed to be beyond it, but you can't mine them, it's as if they don't really exist.

In some rare occurrences, land (usually a hill or mountain) can go all the way to the border. It can't be walked around, you're just stopped by air. It can be annoying.
Maybe someone greifed your world. Filling your house with water. Sounds like something one of my friends would do. Kind of benign on one hand but still screwing with you.
