So far we have Plastic, Natural, Halloween, and Fantasy.
Not counting Mash Up Packs, what do you think the next texture pack(s) will be?
They released Skyrim Mash Up and a Fantasy Texture Pack so do you think they'll release a space/sci-fi texture pack?
they said no christmas(for this year at least) and since theyre on holiday break i doubt there will be a new year texture pack(idk what that would look like anyways... ) as for science, that'd be pretty cool. a more generic version of the mass effect mash up textures. it'd be cool for the water to be green so you could do giant test tubes.
A futuristic texture would look cool. I would also like to see maybe a western texture pack, sort of Old West type of one.
Old Mining Town would be amazing. I've yet to find a map that would go with it tho(by my standards). but even if you didnt have a really cowboy world, just being able to build a small boom town would be great. as for futuristic, I feel like the mass effect mash up pack was disappointing. in the futuristic textures, i hope they smooth out the borders of the solid ore blocks(iron block, diamond block, lapis block, gold block) because iron in vanilla looks atrocious when trying to make a solid surface. but that's me nitpicking.
Maybe a PC ported pack? People make really good ones, but I hope there will soon be an easier way to use custom packs instead of buying them.
dont count on it. it has to do with copyrights and all that. they might make one inspired by a PC pack but dont expect to see an actual one. and unless you do it illegally, theres no way to use textures without buying. thats another legal thing. its not like on PC where its just out there. Microsoft is in contract with 4J and Mojang.
some of those look pretty awesome. i would count that in the architecture/artistic style Gothic. like the Notre-Dame de Paris. it's gothic architecture. or Beast's castle. Beast's castle is hard to incorporate into a world without a LOT of terraforming might i add.

so what youre saying is you have no specific input...just a general(and obvious) guesstimation. if you go by whats popular on this thread then the choices are western, gothic(not manson!), and science lab/futuristic.

I'd personally like to see a sci-fi TP. The Mass Effect pack doesn't really qualify.
mass effect wasnt horrible. it just didnt really have high demand and seemed more like they were testing out mash ups than making some amazing mash up. skyrim was a lot better i believe. the fact that cracks in blocks are red is odd but i think that over all it stands up a lot better.
Western would be nice if we get the horses in some future update, though to be honest you could create a pretty good wild west with textures currently available. In fact, that's just given me an idea for my next world. Thanks for the inspiration whoever suggested it first...

when you say Gothic you're referring to architecture, right? or do you mean a Manson concert?

that texture pack would be interesting to see. the big picture would probably be the different stained glass windows.
