Disclaimer: I will not be able to help you judge colours, I have slight (but annoying) colour blindness
(Is this red or brown?)
Disclaimer #2: I can only play on 1,7,2 and earlier, I cannot afford a new computer so don't tell me to get one.
Since you've been a member of these forums since May 2012, I have some doubts about your story about just getting this game this Christmas. If it is true, what took you so long to decide to get the game... just so you could OD on it in two days?
Build an Underground city. Mind the ceiling out so you've got the sun as a light source.
After that, build a bridge a cross the ocean leading to a relic city In a great desert. Under that
relic city Is the great mineshaft leading back to your original understand city. Build 4 towers on Each
corner of the map, This is the guardians that keep anyone from coming in or going out.
....
Why did I even waste my time writing that?
70% Chance you won't even come back to this thread or better
yet read my post, And If you did read mines, you'll say something like that's impossible, I'll
just get bored after a few hours..

I used to play PC and Pocket edition, I can see the confusion though.

Those are all great ideas, but I think I should get better enchantments on a pickaxe before I start mining. You also mentioned crossing the ocean, I don't really have oceans in my world. I have a village that I spawned next to, a mountain (mix between the mountain of the left of the
cover and the rock in the lion king) with a large tree on top, and 2 very large mineshafts that I could burn to aid the mining a large cave

Well then, I think you've answered your own question. You've not just been playing Minecraft since Christmas... you've been playing it for about a year and half. Most games don't hold a person's interest for nearly that long. I'm guessing now that this really amounts to another person pressing for mods ont he Xbox, so hear's the deal as I see it.
The Xbox Edition isn't dramatically different from the PC one and it's about a year or so behind the PC in getting updated (mostly due to the fact that it was released a year behind the PC). It's also not likely to ever be developed along lines that are dramatically different than the PC since Mojang has expressed their desire to keep the game basically their Minecraft (indicated during a panel discussion at Minecon 2012). Since the Xbox 360/Microsoft forbids 3rd party mods, this means that there is a strong likelihood that Minecraft on the Xbox will remain mostly like PC vanilla about a year or so behind it... with 4J developing DLC (like the mashup packs) to add some variety... but this will likely be far more limited than the PC. There are some benefits to playing on the Xbox over the PC. One of the major ones for me is that I can play local splitscreen offline with family and friends sitting on the same sofa as I and looking at the same screen with none of the hassles of being online.
The moral of the story is don't expect something to be something it's not. Enjoy it for what it is... Oh, and pace it out a little if you want that enjoyment to last longer than a couple of days. If you want mods... play on the PC. The other moral is that the creators of a game might just want to be allowed to express their own creative ideas for it... rather than turning that completely over to the general public. In short, I think Mojang doesn't really like that modders have "taken over" the PC version and want to use the console versions as an opportunity to express their own creative ideas instead.

Oh and I should add my PC broke a while ago so that's why I used Pocket edition (untill a grade 12 my ipad) by accident) and now I have the xbox edition. And do you need to be friends with anyone to join their world? I got Xbox Live and that stuff but my dad accidentally made it so I cant have friends the he went on a business trip.

Yes, you need to be friends on xbox to join someone“s world. I think you are going to be playing minecraft alone for a while if that is the case

So now you're basically saying that you've played Minecraft on PC until your computer borke and then played it on your ipad as well... and you're wondering why you've managed to get bored of it on the Xbox in a relatively short time? As I said, I think you've answered your own question even before you asked it, so you can stop trying to string me along on that one any further, OK.
Yes, you can only join worlds with people who are friends (or friends of friends IF the host has opted to use that option). You'll probably just have to wait it out until your dad gets back to fix your friends list.

(Yea, even that).
Try building something grand (and not out of dirt).

I won't have xbox live until we get home from my grandma's house.
