I've always played survival mode however had a cool idea for a world that would eventually cover the entire map. So I launched Creative and got started. However a couple hours into implementing this idea I get a message that says this, "the maximum number of paintings/item frames have been placed in this world" and of course it won't let me put any more paintings up. I am nowhere done with the City I'm creating and wanted to ask, should I just give up now? Is there limits to other item similar to those? I seriously have only been creating for three or so hours and probably placed about 200+ paintings and item frames.
There is a limit on paintings and item frames and some other things (like entities and mobs). I don't know if there is an actual limit, but having too many chests in an area seems to create issues with lag. Growing things don't appear to have a limit (like wheat). Most of the standard blocks (like wood, wooden planks, wool) do not have a limit. You'll just have to adjust your design plans to not be so dependent on item frames and paintings.
