I primarily play Minecraft on the xbox 360, and Im extremely excited for the xbox one version, but I have some questions about upcoming features that keep me up at night. If anyone can give their speculations or confirmations it would be much appreciated.
What we know:
1. xbox 360 world can be imported to Xbox one version
2. Larger maps
3. Multiplayer servers like PC?
(I got these off of wiki, so if they are false please correct)
Questions:
1. Will imported worlds gain the increased world size
2. Will my friends be able to play our world when Im not online.. and vise versa

1. Potentially, yes, the xbox360 is supposed to map out 1024x1024 block space for the whole map, but only allow the playable region to be a 864x864 block area, this leaves a 160 block buffer (80 in each direction) for the visual borders (5 chunks all the way around the map) that a player cannot enter, but is loaded when a player is in this area. this would imply that once the map is loaded on the xBox 1, you may have the ability to move beyond the boundaries of those border restrictions to enjoy a larger map size overall.
2. Unlikely, unless the code is changed in the future to allow for public server usage across all platforms and a public server is put in place to handle it. this may not be a feature that will be seen for awhile... but it is a possibility that it could get implemented in an upcoming patch if there is enough demand to support it. 4J should be moving toward a unified console code format, that way, when putting out updates moving forward, they will only have to make a change once and not 5 times for each console.
"What we know":
1- False, for now. I checked the wiki and could find no reference of being able to transfer worlds. However, though it may not be available at launch, that capability may be added in the future: http://news.softpedia.com/news/Minecraft-Xbox-360-Saves-and-Worlds-Can-Be-Transferred-into-Xbox-One-Version-400776.shtml
Where in the wiki did you find it?
3- On one hand the wiki says "... will include expanded multiplayer features (such as the addition of multiplayer servers like in PC Minecraft)", but I could've sworn it also said that they wouldn't be ready, at least at launch... but I can't find it now. Guess we'll see.
"Questions:"
1- See above. They'd need to make a 'conversion' program first.
2- Again see above. Depends of if they come up with 'servers'. I get the sinking feeling it's not gonna be free.
WWK:
1) You're not the first person I've heard say that, but no one seems to have a source... would you mind linking one in?
2) Given what we know of the hardware differences, that would make sense
3) Not like PC, that I'm aware of. It's more likely to be 'Realms' which are currently in closed beta for PE and PC versions. (https://minecraft.net/realms)
Q:
1) MY guess would be yes, since it's an artificial limit imposed for the hardware.
2) Yes. Realms have their own server, which can only be accessed by people on your whitelist, so it'll remain even when you're sleeping!
4J said on there twitter that they would look into transfering saved games to X1 but it wasn't a sure thing, at least that's how it was a month or so ago when I saw the tweet.

Answer to your second question just in case you missed it -
4J Studios @4JStudiosJun 26 @joe31400 May not be there for launch, but we intend to have a Resize Save option, so you can increase the size of a save transfer world.
The xbox one is suppose to be 36 times larger than the xbox 360 and the PS4 likewise. They have said better multiplayer. For sure there will not be as much lag.
