I am finding minecraft to be way too easy. I play on hard mode, and I challenge myself to stay out all night and not use any tools greater then stone. I only wear leather armor if I wear armor at all. Even with all that the game is still too easy. I tried just playing the game without anything and only eating raw meat, but that got old fast and I just ended up avoiding skeletons at night everything else was still easy to kill and there were plenty of stray cows, chickens, and pigs to eat.
I don't mind using my imagination if necessary, but I would prefer using the game mechanics. So got any ideas?
Someone awhile go did a challenge called the 1 chest challenge. It's as easy as It sounds. No more than 1 chest In your world.
I Haven't tried it myself but it sounds like It would be difficult
Take extra care to never let your hunger bar get equal to or above 9 swatches. Don't let natural health regeneration heal your health, instead only use healing potions.
I'm the one who designed the One-Chest Challenge. The goal is basically to build a fair-sized city while keeping your entire inventory stored in a single chest. That is, you must empty your personal inventory into the chest each time you decide the leave the game and there can be no other chests you are storing items in anywhere elsewhere in the world. (There will, of course, be chests in mineshafts, etc. existing in the world. The rule I made for these is that you find them, you must either open them and absorb the entire contents into your inventory or leave them closed and, if you wish, come back to empty them at a later time.) The challenge requires planning your builds carefully and obtaining materials only as you need them... so that you can immediately place them in your builds. The desired quality/style of your builds also contributes to how difficult this challenge can be.
Another difficult challenge is to play on one of the survival island seeds listed in the seeds list... that have absolutely no trees anywhere in the world. On these worlds, you can't even make a hoe or a pickaxe until after you locate a mineshaft... and beating mooshrooms to death by hand and mining by creeper explosion is anything but easy. After you do find a Mineshaft, you must stay aware that wood is a finite resource and ration it accordingly since there are no saplings to grow more of it. Over time, it becomes more precious than diamonds. (NB: Playing a totally treeless world is really a game challenge that is exclusive to the Xbox... a benefit of not having an "infinite" world size.)
Okay so a new challenge for me could be something like this:
- No chests
- Do not gather wood from trees or villages
- Keep my hunger below nine swatches
- Only heal by potions
- No beds
Okay so all of this is good. But do you think it would be harder to play on a seed without trees or with trees, but just ignore them?

No chests... and commit to building something big. Just whacking mobs night after night is NOT playing this game fully.
Definitely, a no tree survival island seed is tougher since ocean biomes also do not spawn cows, pigs, sheep or chickens. Mooshrooms and zombies are your only sources of food accessible without any wood.
Okay thanks upup, I could use the Sprite seed. Hmm, I can make an ocean castle out from one of the mooshroom biomes. They start out with them big... plateaus? Anyways thanks.

Sounds like a plan. Post a pic when you're done. Good luck!
You may have to accept that MC isn't a hard game when played cautiously.
Consider these options:
no beds
no torches
no spending the night on a stack
no walling yourself in
no iron doors
preventing monster spawns or access to monsters is pretty much the key to making MC easy, so restricting those activities is the key to making it harder.
Last time I checked... this was the Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Forum... and there isn't a Hardcore Mode, nor are there Extreme MOBs available on the Xbox 360 that I'm aware of.

Can't install 3rd party mods on MCX360... check the forum you are replying in...
Try Seed name: Mjolnir
I hear it is pretty difficult... especially without the bonus chest... oh, and from what I heard about this one.... good luck finding some wood.
I Haven't tried it myself but it sounds like It would be difficult
