Can't remember, probably built a mud hut then dug a hole. The most exciting part of MC for me is starting off in survival mode. Lost count of the number of new worlds i've started.
Joined my friend's kid's world... and died immediately (and no, it wasn't a trap he had set)... and died again... and again... and yet again until I finally got a handle on what controls did what.
I played the tutorial worlds.. As that is all I could really play, then a demo from the pc. And then Finally getting the xbox version I started on Arcavia with a dirt house on a mountain.

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
I played the tutorial world for only about a minute then I went and made a new world. I loved it and wish I never deleted it. Anyways, I lived in the snow biome and had many dogs. My first house was actually inside the mountain I found. I just dug it out and made some rooms and walla! After a creeper blew me up, I got so mad because more started to spawn and come after me so I moved down the mountain into a hollowed out area in a smaller mountain and made that my home. That was also when I didn't try creative or anything and it was all pure survival. I loved it so much when I a noob when I first got MC. I am now going to start a new survival world with my friend.
I was on the PC demo world and I didn't know any crafting recipes, all I had were oak wood planks and buttons. and on the second morning a burning zombie dropped a stone Axe, I killed so many sheep with that thing. then a fully armored skeleton spawned in my house.

If it took more than one shot you weren't using a Jacobs.
Same here. Pity the poor PC newbies, who don't have one. I played the tutorial, learned how the controls worked, built stuff (though I skipped the redstone part), got blown up by a creeper (learned to put doors in that castle!), and figured things out.
First thing I did in a real world was chop some wood, build a crafting table, make a wooden pickaxe, use that to get cobblestone, make a stone pickaxe, and chop a hole in the side of a cliff for my house. I don't think I had enough wood for a door the first night, so I blocked up the doorway with dirt. I still have that world somewhere. And I think in almost every one (with one notable exception being where I spawned right next to a village, so I moved into a house there until I built my castle up on the bluffs) I still live inside mountains. I like living in mountains.
I think I built a 2-wide door on my house back then, because I was having problems getting through regular doors with the XBox controller. I haven't had that problem since, but it was an issue in my first world.
Played tutorial for a short bit... I think... it's been awhile.
Typical strategy whenever I first start is pretty basic, punch trees for wood, save one log block to make charcoal later, turn rest into planks and a handful of sticks, make wooden pick axe, dig into nearby side of hill until I get 8 cobblestone, make furnace, cook wood log into charcoal, make torches, illuminate hole in side of hill as a basic base of operations.
Of course that didn't work so well on the one world that spawned >95% ocean.... took a bit of swimming to find any land with at least 1 tree on it.
I started on PC and had no idea what I was doing and didn't realize you had to hold down the left click on the mouse to do stuff so couldn't chop down a tree for about 5 minutes.
Well, if we are talking about Xbox 360 edition, I fumbled around with the controls untill night time, and barely managed to build a house before night time rolled around, and got murdered.
A lot.
On PC, I just ran around and killed chickens and laughed at how silly I thought they looked.
It took some time for me to get into minecraft if you cant tell already haha
I played the tutorial world several times to see what I could build before time ran out. Once I bought the game, I went nuts. I built houses, dirt shacks, mines... I saved my very first world and sometimes I still go in just to see how far I've come :3
I chopped down a bunch of trees, stacked up the wood from those trees until I hit the limit, jumped off, then die.
Obtained Dandelion.
Flower-whacked a Creeper.
Created a hole in the beach.
Went to his location.
Left for school.
Stay fluffy~

The golden age: it's not the game, it's you ⋆ Why Minecraft should not be harder ⋆ Spelling hints
