You know, I got thinking, that as MC grows on the console and evolves they will be adding additional blocks like on the PC with stains glass, as well as hardened clay to take but two but with many different colors like wool.
I'm curious what will happen to our texture packs, will they still work, will missing textures be added to texture packs later. Personally I see them using the default vanela texture if its not present in a given texture pack, but then again maybe texture packs will fail to load if it can't find all the textures for each block.
Has anyone heard anything about what will happen with new blocks and texture packs at later dates?
as I recall, since 4j effectively knows what new blocks are coming ahead of time, all these block definitions are already in there for the most part. This in turn means, the textures were probably made already, they just aren't unlocked because the main game doesn't know to use them.
I could be wrong.
Otherwise, when new blocks come out, 4J's new title updates will include updates for the textures as well.
