Uhh considering I've bought almost all skin packs, all texture packs, and bought the game itself.. I've put a lot of money into that game.. at the very least I would like a discount.
Money schemes like that don't go over well with me, especially considering their staff rate is so low they have "More awards than staff", they are probably richer than even they would want to be.
If I have to pay for the game, then all the other stuff I put into the game better be free because I've probably put in 40-50 dollars into minecraft.. Otherwise I'm quitting Minecraft.

Sink a couple grand into a hobby before you complain about having to spend more money because of forced changes.
These people have no idea how petty and small minded your complaint about having to spend $20 on a new console's edition of a game that you already own and have invested a whopping $50 into.
A) those are such miniscule dollar amounts in the grand scheme of how much reasonable people can spend on a hobby, that they sound whiny and petty. Go look at what people pay to play Magic the Gathering or other CCGs/hobbies.
nobody is making you change to the Xbone. You are free to keep playing with your whopping $50 investment
C) If spending another $20 for a game is such a financial burden, your family should not be buying a $500 gaming console as they clearly have other challenges keeping food on the table and making rent.
This is really ridiculous in my opinion. We're talking about different games here. It's like asking for a free copy of Dark Souls 2 because you already own Dark Souls. I dislike the way you expect the game to be free, and I can not for the life of me understand why some people are stupid and sad enough to complain about the downloadable content not being free.
First of all: You don't have to buy anything. While you are sitting there on your ass complaining about this, what you are forgetting is that you wouldn't work for free yourself. Why should people spend time on doing something just to provide it to you for free. I can't get my head around this logic.
And second: It's a great game which you have probably spent hundreds of hours with. If you think about it, in terms of how entertaining and timeless Minecraft is, it's heavily underpriced compared to other games. I find it sad and pathetic and sad that questions like this even exists and I hate how greedy some people are.
It confuses me why someone would think they'd get an Xbox One copy for free, because they own the 360 one.
Think about it. If you go to a store, and buy a game for 360.. You're not gonna be given an Xbox One version for free to go with it. It's 2 different systems, 2 different games. You have to pay for both.
Why do people always assume everything should be free. Microsoft, Mojang, and 4J are all businesses. Their first goal, is to make money. Yeah sure, they might wanna make a good game, and bring the costumers a good product to enjoy, but they still want to make money, and they have every right to make money. Minecraft is a really good game that lasts a long time. All of the add-ons for it are cheap. And $20 for a new copy isn't even much money.
If anything think about it this way, you're paying $20 for an upgraded copy. Next gen consoles are gonna get bigger worlds and stuff.
Stop being greedy and selfish. Everyone always thinks they're entitled to whatever they want. Guess what, you're not entitled to anything. 4J/Mojang/Microsoft don't care that a few people dislike it. They're more interested in the thousands of people that's perfectly happy with the game, and fine with paying an extra $20 for a good game.
Don't quote Mojang in this as they believe once you bought the game your entitled to it no matter what platform your running. If I go buy a new PC do i have to buy MC again, no. Granted consoles are different. If we take into account that all 4J really has to do is write a new set of rendering routines, and the rest of the code should compile provided they used standards, its not like they are really writing the game from scratch to run on a new console. In fact I'm willing to bet that the code as it stands probably compiles and runs on the new console because of DirectX, but then again its been awhile since i've been active in the programing scene.
I'm sure the OP as many do believe that because alot of stuff is being brought forward and carrying over to the new console that they might be entitled to the game as well. Many of you are running around with your guns a shooting, and bashing the OP because they feel they are entitled to such and such. The name calling is totally uncalled for, and certainly not justified. We are all entitled to our opinions here, right or wrong.
And truth is when you sit down and think about it....your left scratching your head saying Yeah, No, well maybe, in an endless cycle.
Ah, the age old debate PC or console. There are pros and cons to each, the PC and the console. The PC gamer will spend ALOT more in money keeping his machine upto date for 5 to 10 years, where the average console user only spends a quarter of what the first PC runs. The average PC gamer also needs to worry about virus, add ware. He needs to keep his drivers up to date, has to worry each time he goes in picks up a game if its compatible with his hardware, and if he has the desired specs to run it. There is a 95% chance over the console gamer that when the PC player plays online that he will run into someone who is modded or running some type of trainer.
I'm certainly not bashing the PC gamer but as I said its not all peachy for PC gamers.
You my friend love Xbox. That's cool but some of argument aren't valid. THE PC IS WORSE. The PC's power double every 8 months 0.o so it would be right to upgrade every eight months. Although the reason PC is so good is because there are no guard stopping you doing whatever you want. Say you got a word document and it said Read-only. With the press of a button you can edit it. Also let's be honest with eachother the amount of things a PC can do compared do a console makes the console look as though it's just a crumb. So there are prices to pay
