Does anyone know if the worlds we have created on the 360 version will be able to be transferred somehow to the Xbox1? We have a couple pretty extensive project going on and would love to continue it on X1. Me and a couple others have tweeted 4j with no response.
Has this been brought up and answered before?

Heh - And I used to be the one saying "Really? You're playing NerdCraft??"
In fact, I doubt very seriously any world from any/each of the consoles (or PC) can transfer to any another console, handheld, or PC- (without jumping through a whole lot of very, very iffy illegal hoops, which the mods won't allow any discussion of here).
Well that sucks. I can understand the complexity, but it would be great for me to load the save file or something on the X1. I'm sure there are a lot of other scripting issues involved since it is a different OS the game will be on.
Oh well. Thanks for answering.

Don't get me wrong, I feel for you and I understand your request. It does suck in a way, but I understand it. The consoles are 'closed systems' (tightly monitored) for a reason. We'd all love to transfer PC, 360, PS3, PS4, Vita, and One worlds we've worked hard on between any and all other systems whenever we want, but unfortunately that's not the way it works.
However in Call of Duty, your account and stats and everything in the 360 Ghosts will the transferred to X1. So since it is in the same console family - I was hoping MC would do something too. That would be great since it is still same console family. I can definitely understand it being closed between PS/Xbox/PC and such. But Like I said, different scripting and a different game all together. Oh Well...

That stuff transfers because it isn't saved to your console. It's saved on Activisions servers and tied to your gamertag. Same with Battlefield 4.
Minecraft saves are on your Xbox. They would have to release some kind of transfer conversion program on the Xbox 360 or Xbox One to get them over.

Right, yeah I know that. But I wonder if MCX1 will utilize the newer cloud services. Would be nice to be able to have it tied to your GT so you can do things in either console. It's a stretch, but would be cool.

Cool indeed...cant wait to see what mc will be like on the xbox one.
We are working on ways to transfer saves from Xbox 360 to Xbox One with Microsoft, and are hopeful that we will have a solution. Can't say it will be there until we have it 100% working of course.

Ah Ha! Nothing like hearing it straight from the horse's mouth!
That's Good News, but it does bring up some (unanswerable at this time) questions:
* After transferring to the One, will the 360 worlds still be 360 size, or will they expand to One size?
* What's not said is if One worlds will transfer to the 360. What happens to the size then? (I doubt backwards transfers will happen!)
* Also not said is if transferred worlds will still be tied to a single gamer tag (I would think so), meaning that we won't be able to 'give' our worlds to others.
* Remember that he said they're only "working" on it. While he's "confident" that doesn't mean it can or will happen, so don't get your hopes up. 'They know...' so let's just let them work on it, ok?

The LIVE service for the Xbox One is different than for the 360. Your friend list will most likely not transfer over to One. You will not be able to Party with friends still on 360. The Cloud is accessible from Xbox One. Don't know how we're supposed to get map files from our hard drives to the cloud, when they're most likely 2 separate networks, essentially.
The only way I can see it working is if 4J does something similar to what Bungie did for Halo 3. Let us upload maps to a fileshare server and then redownload them onto a new system. That will, of course, require the One version of Minecraft to have an option to get files from that server.

Does anyone know if they are planning some kind of map sharing, if they can manage to transfer maps to Xbox one I would like to share my builds with other players
This part I don't get. Maybe it's just me but why do I want a world already built? Sort of defeats the purpose for me. Unless it's for minigames or something. But part of all the fun in it is actually creating it yourself. To each their own I guess. But all I am concerned with is being able to continue my creations in X1. Though they don't promise it, I am hopeful and happy that it is something they are looking at.

Microsoft said friends and achievements will carry over to Xbox One.
Achievements, probably. I don't see how or why Friends would carry over. We can't game with them. I was told that the 360 will not be getting the Friend list boost to 1000, so there really is no incentive to carry them over. We also can't party up with them, so again... no real point in carrying them over other than to send them a text message.

Thats kinda short sighted there dude.
Friends are just a contact list kept on MS's server. They are valid, regardless of whether you play a game with them now or later.
MS would assume they are actually your friend and you may want to chat, message, skype or something.
And when they also get an Xbone, they are inherently right there.
Think of friends on Xbox Live not as being ported to Xbone more like being available to contact on all the platforms you login to. Just like you get with Facebook or other social media across multiple devices.
