When you play Minecraft, who do you play with? I find I always play with my older sister and my younger one guides us through (she's a walking Minecraft Wiki).
My son and myself.... If I play multi-player... I haven't really left my bubble and played MP online yet, just split-screen only.
... Of course, my son 'helped' me would on build out a nearby village, I think he lead every creeper that found him into the village and killed off every one of my villagers as well as cratered many walkways and buildings (and of course died in the process multiple times). I'm sure it was by accident... but still... now I have no villagers to keep the village active and allow it to grow... I'll have to figure out a way to import a couple of villagers from a nearby village and see if I can get them to bind to this village again and start repopulating it.
I have finally patched all the holes (mostly) and even tamed an ocelot to help keep the creepers at bay.
Of course, his map is a pure sandbox, he plays mostly in creative mode (probably something about dying 30 times in the span of 3-4 hours). We've build a quaint little medieval village with a shipping port and light house and a nearby keep with hidden doors and combination locks and traps, various temples to his 'Gods', including a Counsel of the Gods high up in the clouds.... Of which we couldn't get any nether portals to link to in order to allow nether transport to this site.... (grrr)
When we both manage to get on, I play with a friend who lives hours away. Occasionally I'll play by myself, but it gets boring fast if I'm not actively making something big.

The good people, they always die. And the bad people do too...But the weaker people, the people like me, WE have inherited the Earth. -Morgan Jones
Right now, stil not playing (until New Year). Otherwise, will often play local splitscreen with personal friends and/or family at my place or theirs. Very rarely online with their friends when playing at their places (as their guest); and also at home alone offline.

but most of the time alone
If it's not with these two I usually just mess around and build some stuff with my younger cousins (5 and 7 years old).
