During about TU2 or 3(I can't remember because I wasn't really following them at the time but it was the 1.7 update as I recall. Maybe TU5?) I had deleted a world accidentally at about 4 AM while trying to delete an adventure map. I was ed off and then about 2 days later my game began glitching, the world generation was off when I made a new world and there was even a place where I would fall off of the map. I deleted that world and then created another new world. It then spawned me into the world I had deleted 2 days before but with all of my chests empty and my inventory gone except for a map, although I still had my diamond armor! It was really strange, after restarting the game it all returned to normal, but the save was still there. Does anyone have an explanation or has this ever happened to anyone else?
I have deleted many, many worlds over the last year since I create new ones for a variety of "tests" and then delete them. I have used both the in game Delete function and the Delete function in Xbox Live and I have never had even one come back on me in any way, shape or form. So, I really have no explanation for you.
Since you say the game is glitching, I suggest you back up the worlds you want to keep to a USB stick or the cloud (using the copy function under the Live "Settings" - "Storage" tab. For instructions, see this link: Be absolutely sure to only copy games owned by the currrent profile you are signed in with. If you or anyone else has created gamesaves under a different profile (either local or Live), you will have to sign in separate in each of those profiles to copy, move or delete them.
Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
Maybe if you had posted this a year ago when it was relevant, you would've been able to receive better answer, since, you know, it happened a year ago.
I myself have had no such problem when making/deleting worlds since the game's release, so you got me....
Can't say I've ever come across the same situation although when I do play on my friends games I fall off the map a lot because the ground dissappears but i see this as an advantage because when I hit the bottom I get to see where all the diamond is.

Then (as long as you are the bonafide profile who owns the game), I would possibly delete your entire game and redownload it from Live.

Stay fluffy~
Hmm, how convenient. You know, those unknown, unofficial forums. That's where I go when I need tech-support, the ones that nobody use.
