There has been one other poster who has indicated that they are having an issue getting out of the End. In addition, there are several other recent posts about people having issues with the game freezing when they die or are killed. Personally, I haven't had this game freeze on me in months and even before that, it has only ever frozen about 4 times in all.
However, it is a well know fact that this game is utilizing the CPUs and RAM in the Xbox 360 to the max, so freezing is most likely to be caused when events in the game cause the CPU usage to spike over the top. Leaving the End and dying have one thing in common - respawning at your bed. So, I would focus on minimizing the things that are using a lot of CPU power near your respawn point. Obviously, you are stuck in the end, so you will need the help of a second character to do this. Things that are known to utilizing more CPU... 1. Maps in frame (if you've now got one near your spawn, take it down). 2. Redstone and other lighting updates (if you have these near your base, temporarily break it so it's now trying to function when you\re respawning). 3. Animal Farms (if you have one near your base, move the animals farther away if you can or reduce their numbers to the minimum and replenish them by breeding after you get back). 4. Lots of hostile mobs (Switch the game mode to Peaceful temporarily). 5. Online multiplayer play (If you are able to use local splitscreen, take the game offline).
Of course, since the issue isn't happening to me, I don't really know if any of this will work or not. To save yourself trouble, pick the ones that are easiest for you and redo them only one at a time. The first easiest would be switching the game mode to Peaceful, so I would start there. Good luck and let us know if you do manage to get out of the End and what worked.
There's no reason why pegging the CPU should freeze the game. If that were the case, all Xbox games would freeze regularly. Trying to use more memory than available would cause serious problems, but that is called a bug, not a system deficiency.
This is buggy coding, pure and simple. A hard freeze is a mortal sin for programmers, and I hope they take fixing such things to heart.

I'm not saying that there isn't a problem in the code. There obviously is and 4J have to do something about it.
I'm just trying to get a workaround to get this guy out of the End so he can continue playing in that particular world. It's not happening to me lately and isn't happening to everyone, but it IS happening to some people. One thing I can think of why it might not be happening to me is that my spawn area is barren and I normally play offline and frequently play in Peaceful mode. They are just suggestions. If they work, they work If they don't, it's back to the drawing board and he may just have to write off that world.
This appears to have been a growing problem and other lag issues have already been blamed on spiking CPU usage by 4J, so they obviously have more work to do to optimize their code to keep the game running.
If you were on a map with other people that could create an issue. Either they should leave the map or come with you to the end. Also before entering the end to fight the dragon I would go to the portal save and exit the game then restart and enter the end.

Oh, yeah, no question. My post was more an off-the-cuff reaction to this general notion that the age of the system is to blame for technical problems in software. That's never the case. The good thing about consoles is that they are fixed targets. The specs don't change, and over time, using them to best advantage becomes old hat to experienced devs. If anything, software should get a lot more stable as the platform ages. I didn't mean to step on your toes. Sorry if my other post came off that way.

I don't know if there is a known bug for it or not. I've tried jumping in without collecting all the xp and without grabbing the egg.
Any ideas?
