So I have two farms that i'm having trouble getting to work.
The first one is a slime farm and to be honest I may not have waited long enough but I'm going to include it in case someone has an idea. I have two big rooms 26 x 26 on levels y = 7 and y= 12. They are filled with light from torches. Am I missing anything?
The second one and the one that is really confusing me is a mob dropper. It was sort of working then the monsters just stop dropping in. The dark room I have at level y = 87 is 20 by 20 and 3 spaces high. Completely dark and has a 2 by 2 space that the monsters get swept to by water. But I getting a monster here on there. I built this once before and they fell continuously almost.
I don't know if it matters but I've built these on survival mode!
Lit up with torches? Do you even know if those 26x26 are actual slime chunks? It might be best to use something like pumpkins in the floor or lighting from the ceiling.. that is assuming you were putting the torches on the floor. slime finders would help to determine if it is. Also note that slimes can spawn up to y40, so the caves around or above it matter, and could cause a slow down on the spawning of the slimes. light those caves up and slab/water them down to stop spawning going anywhere except your farm.
The only thing I can truly say about the mob dropper is that there might not be enough caves lit up or mobs are jamming up the system; after all tu12 did introduce a new mob ai, so it may take longer for a mob to voluntarily walk off into the water streams. You might have to go up there to see if they are in fact spawning, but it might just be the case that not enough caves are lit up. I actually prefer a piston pusher into a water stream better, as that is more effective.
Other than the points I mentioned I haven't a clue...

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
