I am unsure if this is a bug or I am just doing it wrong
I can't kill the enderdragon when playing in creative mode. I have done it before the most recent update, but now when I try, the bar goes down a little bit and then stops. The enderdragon flashes when I hit it as if it is taking damage, but the bar just stays in the same place, maybe about one tenth of the way down (as in I still have about 90% to go before it dies). Has anyone else tried this, or possibly could someone else try it and see what happens?
I don't really have much interest in killing the dragon, but when I am playing with my son in creative, he sometimes likes to go to the end and the only back out now is suicide :/
should be able to... at least I think. however it does take a while before killing. did you destroy the healing crystal things...all of them? Other than that I have no clue as to what is going on. I have only defeated the dragon once, and it was on a creative map, however this was when the end first came out. So I don't really know in this current one.

Yes you can, did it the other day. He stopped taking damage from swords pretty early on though so I had to use a bow for most of the life bar.
This is possibly what happened to me then. Is it normal for them to stop taking damage from swords so that you have to use something else? First and only time I killed him I used the same sword for the entire kill. This time I tried to do the same but when he stopped taking damage I just killed myself. I can't remember what kind of sword I was using.

Several people have reported this as a bug in previous TUs, so I suspect it's still there in TU13. Personally, I've not had it happen to me nor to anyone I've watched take on the enderdragon either in creative or in survival. Therefore, I really have no idea what circumstances perhaps trigger the bug and what ones prevent it from happening..

I will have to have another go and see if I can't replicate it to see if it is a bug, maybe try using different swords and other weapons too. We were playing two player split screen in creative mode, one gold member, one silver, both went to the end at roughly the same time, I broke all the crystals, my three year old cracked it coz I broke the crystals and stormed off but his character stayed in the end. I used mine to try and kill the dragon with a sword, when he stopped taking damage I grabbed the other controller and tried to kill the dragon with a sword, but he still didn't take any more damage.
