Never had an issue with cats sitting on my chests. I can't even open it when my cat is sitting on it. :/ horrible lag in splitscreen with my girlfriend. When ever either of us opens a chest, goes into a furnace, crafting table, inventory, and enchantment table it always lags one of us really bad. This is critical when trying to fight monsters or lay blocks down or walking near lava. The iron door issue of when hitting is and making an open/close sound is still there. My THIRD iron golem despawned 20 minutes after this update. My other 2 despawned as well before TU13.
I've never been disappointed in a bug update before...
I wasn't thinking. Haha. And ohh. Cats are supposed to?
Splitscreen never lagged before TU12. Up until now. My girlfriend and I would play and never had lagging issues. As soon as TU12 was out and we started a new world, it's lagged. We go to our pre tu12 world and no lag. Which I find really odd in its self...
My wife & I get lag when opening chests or accessing furnaces. I haven't tried it since the update so I don't know if it is worse. If cats become more annoying than they are now then I'll send mine "to the farm". I like to keep them near busy chests just to keep creepers from sneaking up on me when accessing them.
I'm not in a rush to download this update. I want to see what other people report in case there are problems or unexpected fixes. I still haven't fixed all of my double doors that got moved around in TU12.
We have lag in split screen as well when opening chests, crafting tables, etc. If it is going to be worse with TU13, I may hold off on the update. We pretty much only play in splitscreen. Makes it hard when laying blocks while up high, if someone opens the crafting table, the lag makes you fall even when crouched in sneak position.
I also dont want to complain but yea now the mining/block placement is botched and slow, something seems off thats for sure. The sound issues are piling up one after another with nothing being done about it. I really hate to complain but i've been asking them for months about it and while they say on here they are aware, (thank you 4jsteve for acknowledging it) they say nothing about it on their twitter, i appreciate all they do in all honestly but i think some things they just dont care about i guess. They have no problem answering the same question over and over but nothing legit.
Am in the only one sees these issues? Has anyone else seen the block placing/breaking issue. I cant quite explain it but its off.
Also they only fixed HALF of the mobs that spin their heads. Sheep still act like they are on crack and speed. Why fix only half?

It has lagged for my brother and I since TU12 (started playing around TU11).
Our solution is that no one opens a menu while the other is doing something OR will say out loud "LAG" before we open a menu to alert the other.

The cats on chests issue is a feature, not a bug. And annoying as all get out. I've been playing the PC version a lot lately (still haven't tamed an ocelot in the 360 game, actually, because I don't want to start a new world just yet) and being annoyed by cats.
I started a topic over in the PC suggestions forum about ways to allow players to move cats off their chests. Seriously, I have a cat IRL, he likes sitting on things, and he's a huge cat -- 17 pounds -- but do you know how I get him off something? I put a hand under him and scoop. If you want to get a Labrador retriever off something, you might need to use both hands. But my Minecraft cats can't be moved short of killing them. They don't move for anything -- food, dogs, you name it.
I have found a workaround of sorts, although it has the disadvantage of potentially generating more cats: Have another cat sitting in a safe (that is, chest-free) place. Feed that cat a fish to initiate love mode. Now do the same to your chest-sitting cat. When it runs over to the other cat, order it to sit. If you can get to it before it reaches the other, great; if not, well, you'll have a spare kitten around the place.
In my current PC game, I have a few cats indoors that are all safely sitting in various places, but I keep most of my cats parked outside, in my castle courtyard or as creeper repellant in other strategic locations.

Accessing menus/tables in co-op has always lagged the game. If you're fighting monsters, then common sense would dictate... DON'T OPEN A MENU.
I'd be disappointed in TU14, too... if this was TU14. It's TU13.
Stay fluffy~

Great solution. If one person is fighting, everyone else halt what they are doing.

Forum AdminPlease post all Bugs in the Bug list thread instead of creating new topics.
When 4j updates the thread to TU13, it should be moved there.
