Trying to find some information on comparison between the two console versions of minecraft (upcoming) and according to this website minecraft will NOT be in the initial release of Xbox One but will be there before March 2014. That seems really odd. Is it true?
I doubt it.
There's no reason one console's version should take longer than the other- unless they're totally different. And I'd suspect if that's the case, there'd be different pluses and minuses for each with no clear winner- which would be really dumb.
But look at it this way: IF they delay the One version for 3-4 months, that means that they'll have 3-4 more extra months to make it better and more up to date than trying to rush it out the door to meet a (Sony) deadline.
Reminds me of the tortoise and the hare story.
Don't worry about it- wait a couple of months and we'll know more.
Seems like a good time to switch to another console.
why because something comes early to on console over another, what if I also play CoD do I have to get both as the dlcs are coming much earlier on xbox than PS4 ?

Well xbox has failed me in several areas that are important to me. Things like making it more difficult to cancel auto annual renewal for xbox live gold are irritating to me. So unless xbox has better anti-griefer tools (for minecraft multiplayer) than PS4 then IF I get another console I will get one that hasn't failed me and that is more user friendly if I want to leave.
I didn't play video games or have game consoles for decades so that is the direction I'm headed for again. I still have 2 Xboxes and xbox live for a while so I will probably get COD ghost and that will be the last game I will buy from xbox.

NO idea why you had any issues cancelling auto renew it took me seconds.
least they are still going to keep updating the 360 version after the xbox one version is out thats all im bothered about
I have heard there will be several more updates. The game is very playable now so any more is like icing on the cake (as long as it doesn't create more lag). I'm looking forward to/preparing for villager trading so I hope that is in the next update.
I will be devastated if Sony gets exclusive rights to Minecraft for a few months however I am willing to wait given the longer we would have to wait the more potential updates and patches would be released.
I can't see the two consoles having any differences between the games, it just doesn't seem productive for 4J Studios to do this.

That doesn't seem reasonable. We are on TU13 and if you had waited to get the game until now you would still be facing bugs and glitches. The only thing more time will get us is different bugs and glitches not less.
Well they have said the two consoles will be running the same editions, and it was heavily hinted that it will be the same as we have on the 360, though of course may not start on the exact same patch .

Yea the differences will likely come in the form of texture packs and stuff like that. I would think that xbox and PS4 will want some texture packs from games they own exclusively.

No idea, but the point still is why, for an identical game, are they coming out at quite different times.
That wasnt at all funny, MS had an exclusive contract for a period so it was quite plain it was going to be that way. This time there's no such thing.
