What makes me bring this up is that so many people are going to GTA. I have it too and its amazing but the xbox community is pushing its limits going full force to GTA now i see 1 or 2 online maps for minecraft when i used to see 8 to 10 my friends are all minecraft players and i have almost 100 friends but seriously now that GTA Online is coming out in a few days have we seen the last of Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition? Has GTA 5 taken over the Xbox 360? Well its been a good run but goodbye to Xbox 360. And fellow Minecrafters of the xbox hope you have your money saved for Xbox One because thats all what the xbox minecraft has left....................
By no means is MCXBLA over... GTA V is brand new. People always flock to new games. The hype will wear off and people will return to playing all their other games again.
GTA V is huge, and will get a lot of attention for a while. Then the storm will subside, and everyone will go back to games with longterm appeal, like Minecraft.

I agree with this. There is no way GTA V is gonna take over minecraft. I hate the game anyway...

GTA V has long term appeal. Maybe not as much as Minecraft, but it definitely has long term appeal. Especially come Tuesday with the release of GTA Online.
I'm looking forward to GTA V, which I'll grab soon enough. So don't get me wrong. But games like that hold my interest for a few months, while MC keeps roping me back in over a much longer period. It's the difference between a creative environment and a canned set of things to do, however well designed and rendered those might be.
Same thing happened with Halo 4, Black Ops 2, and World of Tanks Beta (I do have to say, WoT is a very fun game) When they were released, no one played anything but them. This isn't the end, I promise.
Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
Yep, the sky is falling... and we all know what happened there. Someday, the world will end; but no one has been right with their predicitons of it so far, so forgive me if I remain skeptical.
I'll just keep playing Minecraft as long as I enjoy doing it. You can certainly do whatever you like as well... and then we both should be happy.

That, and I never gave a crap for shooting games, hence I have never played Halo (aside the first ages ago), CoD, GoW, Battefield, etc.... (Inb4 saying shooting a bow makes MC a shooter.)
I have zero interest in playing GTA and I have no doubt that there are many others like me. As a Dad with children, A) I wouldn't let GTA in my house in the first place. Minecraft is something I can share with my kids.
Sure, Minecraft will go down, no game lasts forever. That being said, Minecraft has infinite re-playability, all the games like GTA, COD, BF# quickly lose their luster (even with multiplayer, I mean really, how many different strategies do you see on the various COD and BF# maps).

I was playing GTA IV on and off for years until GTA V came out. GTA was also one of the first video games I ever played when growing up as a kid so I've been with the series from the beginning.
GTA may seem like a canned set of things to do, but it really isn't. You can be just as creative in it in different ways. MY friends and I are already planning many things to do in the online portion of GTA V that are not "set things to do". Like hooking two cargo helicopters to the same vehicle and seeing what happens when we both go opposite directions. Or loading a military cargo plane with explosive barrels using a bulldozer, then carpet bombing an area of the map.
Different strokes for different folks. I find replayability in games that aren't meant to last very long by playing outside the bounds of what they were designed for.

Oh man. I gotta try the bomb run. Sounds much more interesting than just blasting with a CHOPPA.

Yep, Minecraft is dead. They might as well just delete this section..... I joke.
I've mostly been playing GTA V nonstop since the midnight release, and I'm working on 100% as we speak. However, I've been playing Minecraft on the side just because It's Minecraft. I doubt it's just gonna die out.
The thing with Minecraft is the popularity never dies out of it. Sure, other games may take the spotlight but then after awhile people get bored from a game. When you look at games like COD it reaches huge sales numbers in the first month but then after awhile sales decrease every month. Then you look at Minecraft and the sales aren't huge but they keep coming in. It's addicting. One of the few games that can make a person come back to a game after years of age. Unless it's a classic. <3 Megaman X.

Minecraft is one of the few games which has replayability, allows the players to free their mind and be creative, and appeals to all age groups. People will stop playing when they stop being creative.
Well, I've ben playing GTA 5 for about a week now, and have been alternating between that and Minecraft. It's nice to take a break from all that killing and law breaking to just chill out, relax and build some things, without worrying about cops catching me
Minecraft is a game that stays around way after other games have failed exactly like the Sims have because it's a creative Sandbox game. Regardless of what games come out people will always come back to Minecraft to mess around or build something because I'm speaking for my self but sometimes I could go weeks without playing Minecraft and than randomly come up with a great idea for a build so I get stuck into Minecraft and play for the next 6 months straight.
It's one of the only games I know where the laws of time do not exist and 5 minutes in Minecraft is probably at least an hour in real life.

Curse PremiumMinecraft consist of every game and then has them all have a giant game orgy and you get this, blocky, weird, MMO game.

Oh dear, how did he manage to survive 'all that time' without GTA?
