I love clearing worlds leveling them all to one Y. For example the world i'm clearing right now is my friends so he wants everything to be at Y 65. I just love clearing reminds me of digging in the sand at the beach when i was younger. I guess i feel im going to uncover something amazing. Anyone else like doing this or am i just weird?
Not by any means are you weird. I do this to relax. I go find someone in the looking for section. Find the ones that need blocks cleared and offer my services. I usually do two hours of digging, giving all materials to the host. Then I leave. Usually never to be seen again.
I have occasionally done that for someone else when they want a large flat area for a village or building. I like the biomes too much to do that on mine though.
I enjoy digging and mining and, like SHD, I find it really relaxing. I tend to do it, though, more in the way of tunneling and clearing out room for rails and other little bases and slime farms and such underground. I only tend to flatten little areas of my map around immediate builds.
Last time I did that, an entire desert biome ceased to exists...along with 4 max-enchanted diamond shovels.

I cleared a corner of ocean once. Had a sand generator, and moved the blocks around with pistons. Once I had 3 or 4 chunks filled (slime area), I went down and cleared out all the cobble, brought down the sand with torches. Had so many slime balls.
