Jungles and therefore Jungle wood are recent additions with TU12. If it's a world started prior to TU12, it may not have a jungle. If not, the option I see, would be switching to creative, planting a few jungle saplings, smack em with bonemeal, then switch back to survival.
As Canhos said, you need a jungle biome. It's just a hunch... if by "survival" you're thinking "survival island", then it is quite likely that your seed does not have a jungle biome. Typically, on classic, one tree survival island maps, your one tree will always just be an oak.
Eventually find online need junglewood and on create I tried and works fine
however ive never found junglewood in a survival map
is it just bad luck or is there something im missing?
ironically the other map i haveis 95% water and i had to travel whole map to find 2 oak trees and now planted a forest from there
