I have tried to tame Ocelots with raw fish and I gave one to an ocelot and he did the rejection thing but then it wouldn't let me try to feed him another fish. Is this normal?
I make sure I'm crouched when i approach them and stay quite still when they see me.
Sometimes they need a few fish to tame but usually I dont have any problems.
The "personality" of the cats in the game appears to be much like real cats... contrary, independent, and difficult. As suggested, just stay crouched as much as possible. If you're not in crouch and you slightly bobble the control when you're feeding your fish, the cat will behave as though you have frightened it. So far, I've tamed 5 or 6 in different worlds.
I spent (real time) days!!! trying to tame ocelots. Had two kind of hanging around me, sometimes they'd take the fish, sometimes not, always they would end up running away with me chasing them and scaring them further away. Finally one night I sat down and said I wouldn't give up until I had one. Headed into a nearby jungle, an ocelot came straight up to me, I fed it one fish and it was tamed! Just keep trying, eventually you will get one.
Is there a mod to make this easier like it was in 1.32 (I took a long break). I'm on 1.6.4 and any movement, even to aim at them to even feed them the fish with f8 on still just makes them run away.

You're in the wrong forum, this is for the XBox 360 console version which is not compatible with Java Version 1.6.4, nor is there an F8 key....nor are there user created mods for that matter.
I was able to tame 2 ocelots with 1-2 fish each. SUPER EASY. Make sure you're in a crouch and slowly approach from behind, once they look at you stay still, let them approach you. The SLOWLY move your crosshair on them and feed them.
I keep seeing ocelots when I have no fish on me, so run back to get some and return to find the damn things have nashed off!
I think I searched for like 3 or 4 mine craft days before I spotted one. Actually spotted two next to each other. But my jungle biome is decently sized.
