There is a mass effect map on my screen. I can not get rid of it. If I reload the game then I reset my leaderboards. My mistake to have EVER downloaded the mass effect trial version.
Highlight the "Texture Packs" bar. Move left stick to highlight grass block. THEN PRESS A to lock in your selection. Move down to Load and load world. It should now load in normal textures.
If this doesn't work, the pack is easily deleted using your Xbox Live dashboard.
Exit Minecraft
Go to Xbox Home - Settings - System - Storage - Hard Drive (if that is where you have Minecraft saved) = Games and Apps - Minecraft - Mass Effect Downloaded Items (It might say something a little different since I've bought the actual pack. I believe though that the Trial Pack is still somewhere are 82 MB, so you should be able to identify it that way) - Select - Delete
Why not just delete the mash-up pack? I have over 50 worlds and I am not bothered by one extra, if you are bothered by ONE world that you will never load up then just delete the pack...

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.

You've got the wrong idea. See, he said it sucks and stuff because he couldn't save his world or keep his leaderboard stats
Its been cleared up, the OP just made a silly mistake

what ARE you on about ?? He was annoyed because the mass effect world is stuck at the top of his list of worlds and the only way he could think of getting rid of it would be reinstall the entire game, which would lose his leaderboards.

I too am quite distraught by that world constantly looming over my other worlds, even if it's not the first to be selected.
It should be treated just like any other world and slide downwards as other worlds save before it.
The Mass Effect "Map" is not a map at all. Try this simple exercise. Click on it, load up the map, then exit without saving. You will find that a copy of the unsaved map is now in the list of worlds and has the standard dirt block icon. The Mass Effect "Map" is in essence the same thing as the tutorial map or the create new world button. A button that allows you to create a new world.
What do people actually think about the map pack? I quite like it so far, just started creating a sci-fi themed creative world. Having said that, I wish I hadn't started, because we decided to build a giant death star first. Seemed like a good idea at the time but now my brain is hurting with it. Volunteers to come help build it more than welcome
I see I misunderstood the problem you were actually having. Glad that 4J picked up on it. I think the option they are proposing will be a great one. I can see that adding a few more mash-up packs would cause the themed world "create" buttons to take over the load screen completely. This will enable users to hide any that they aren't using.
Too bad about your title though... You had me convinced that you were a pretty level-headed guy.

Oh no I'm a knot of rage thinly disguised as reasonable.
After you go through the fire everything smells like smoke.
its not a world like the ones you create its the save file like that of the tutorial world. if it bothers you that much you can delete the mash up. there is literally no reason for the rage nor for you to lose your leaderboards.
We'll add an option to hide Mash-up pack worlds in the saves list in TU13, along with an Option to unhide all hidden ones.
wow, see thats why we love 4j,they actually listen. maybe put them and the tutorial world in a drop down list. maybe an option at the top labeled "world saves" that might keep things a bit simpler with the hide/unhide options. this will definetly help when we start getting more mash-up packs, even 5 would drop our main worlds to another page.
