I want to do a survival in the Nether as a challenge, but I would like to take a sapling (Just 1 oak one) into the Nether to start a tree farm. Will the sapling grow? Just wondering, because if it doesn't that would suck.

Of course it won't grow, without dirt that is. The nether is like what you would imagine and call hell, which is a very hot and fire-y place. I haven't actually tested out bringing some dirt and the planting them but I doubt that will work. The nether is just too hot for overworld stuff I'd think.

You did not do any research, do not answer questions by just assuming things. Temperature is not an issue in this game... (Snow biomes spawn at the center of the map, surrounded by a desert???)

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... 1- if you have fire spreads on then the nether is a very difficult place to plant stuff
2- You can plant and grow everything in the nether EXCEPT sugar cane. Sugar cane requires water adjacent to be planted.
3- Somethings like wheat will take a VERY long time to grow not irrigated but you can bonemeal them to get things going.
4- I love Nether gardens. Great to have people go through a nether portal and enter a forest.
