My favorite is TU12. I know some will say it's just because that's the latest one but that's not it. Same with skin packs I only bought skin pack 5 because it had several skins I liked. TU12 has several favorites that I have been looking forward to such as cats and zombie sieges. Plus now my game feels different. It feels somehow complete with all the biomes etc. Before there was always this thought that whatever I build it will just get gone when I start a new seed with the next update. But planning on minecrafting this seed for months even if we get an update with something I can't get.
The worst, by far, update for me was TU7. Put a lot of work into worlds on hard survival just to find that my fortress had no blaze spawner or nether wart.
Obviously a close second was the original game but at that time I hadn't minecrafted enough to truly appreciate all I could do.
So looking back what update were you most excited about?

Did you reset your nether for TU7
But TU3, IM HUGE ON REDSTONE. IT'S LIKE IM ADDICTED
Ah, TU7... it was the best of times and the worst of times. It added so much more than the nether fortress. It added enchanting, brewing, and breeding. At first, I didn't think I would like them... but they have become some of my favorite features about this game. The blaze spawner thing was a bit of a problem for some, but all the nethers I got to in the various worlds I generated back then had one... so, it wasn't an issue for me.
TU11. Very stable, last update before the minecart nerf. Properly built redstone contraptions work well for long periods of time. Good, smooth performance (nicely optimized). Silk touch works as it should except for ice. The one downside is some hitching (momentary freezing) in the nether.

Yea that made it double bad. Without blazes you can't make a potion stand so no brewing and without nether wart you can't make the awkward potion so no potions. Glad they have those issues fixed now!

It means that the speed of carts was cut roughly (or exactly?) in half. Imagine being used to driving 60 mph on the highway, then one day seeing 30-mph speed-limit signs, with police cars lining the road shoulders waiting to ticket you. Worst single change to the game yet. And I don't care what the PC game does with minecarts. I'm not playing on the PC. I was used to the Xbox speed for one year, and the transportation systems I created relied in good faith on that speed. Then the rug was pulled out from under our feet, and we were left scrambling for solutions, frustratingly and needlessly.

Oh yea. I thought at first it was lag or something. We use to have this:
Especially when you're a guest on someone else's server you could ride into unloaded chunks at still get somewhere relatively quickly. But all together it's still my fav update.

Its pretty much all Title updates in one...

I use the reset nether option now but that's mostly to get lots of soul sand and nether brick without messing up the way the nether looks.
