I was thinking the other day about the deferent passive mobs and was wondering....What in you guys opinion is the MOST useful passive mob in Minecraft and most useful non-Hostile (Not including passive mobs)
Hmm... I picked Mooshroom because it gives you: Milk, beef, red mushrooms, leather, and stew. Keep in mind that all passive mobs are important (except maybe pigs.)
The mooshrooms are the best. They do everything the cows do plus stew! Voted for wolfs. They are the best hunting companion. The best defense is a good offense.
What? No cat option?! Does anyone else remember when creepers use to be a problem?
confusing, as ocelots should be in the other group. At least I think so since they don't spawn in peaceful. Sure they don't attack like the others but it is still considered neutral in my opinion, as it does attack chickens.
I would vote Villager, because their housing and villages give me much inspiration to build & remodel the place, as well add onto them...
If ocelot was in the other part I would vote that as they fend off creepers within a certain radius. As it stands now I would say iron golems, since they drop iron, and you can farm them.:D

I was just going on the Wikis grouping and didn't think of adding ocelots twice. I think the reason that ocelots or consider passive(and tamable) mobs is that they can't hut you, whereas wolfs are "neutral" mob since they can attack you. Mobs - Minecraft Wiki
So what building blocks can you get from mooshooms?
Depending on the answer to that I would say chickens are the most useful because they give you feathers which are needed for arrows.
I had mooshooms before that I kept on the farm and it just didn't work out as well as I would thought they would. I can only carry so many bowls. If I have bread then that's all I need.
I think that cows are more usefull because:
>they drop leather to make armor
>they drop steaks as an easy food source
>they produce milk so you can stop the poison and food poisoning from hurting you
>they are very easy to find compared to the Mooshroom
I think that iron golems are good because they defend you and they are very strong

still the way I see it is they are neutral, even if by coding not, because they can attack something. All the other passives don't attack regardless if hit. Also all the ones beyond ocelot don't have a designated thing they would attack, but ocelots do. So I guess I just don't agree with the wiki on that note... lol

they should be like dogs: if you hit them, they attack you back
I regretfully have to say cows are the best passive. They are good for food and a quick source of cheap armor, but they are the most annoying things I have ever experienced in a video game; and I've played QWOP.
If you can understand that your awesome!

And idk about the others, Iron golems can give you iron,or protect you, but using snow golems for blocks is so much help
