I have quite a simple set up for my current world I'm working in, with my house built into a hill that is only accessible by dock (Mobs cant touch me). In order to get the minecart achievement, I decided to build a monorail that connected my house all the way to back of the map. Half way between this point, my friend who helps in my world once in awhile built a cave system that goes down to bedrock and I connected his house to mine via bedrock tunnel as well so both houses can be accessed from topside or tunnels. So what are the odds, that the End Portal is literally with about 30 blocks of his house? Extremely happy with the result and I found it to be unbelievably coincidental. Looking forward to getting the rest of the Endermen Eyes and I'm off to fight the dragon.
Awhile ago, a friend visiting my world built a house in a random spot. A few days later, I decided to finish carving out and building an elaborate staircase from my main station underground to the surface. As it happened, I surfaced right at his front gate... So, I promptly annexed his house for the surface station and entrance to my subway. Hopefully, he won't mind when he finds out.

Thats the best part, not telling them and eltting them find out for themselves! I love playing in my friends game because I make several non-griefing modifications that are beneifical and a happy surprise. Some of the jokes I've done:
Secret room behind painting right in his main house saying "Coopr wuz her"
I dug up a bunch of Iron ore and instead of smelting it, just placed it all in one of the rooms he never really goes to. Imagine his surprise at coming across about 15 blocks of iron in a room already escalated.
Built a massive underground tunnel 8 wide and 3 high that connects to his main house.
Its funny and fantastic when they finally stumble upon what you did. Much preferred over causing trouble and well worth it. The proximity of the end portal to my tunnel and main complex is ridiculous, Ill get a picture to post just for fun and giggles.
It seems rails = rarity.
Stay fluffy~
