I wasn't expecting to get the pack for free. Don't play mass effect and don't like the texture pack. I was more interested in seeing how it works for future packs. But back to the point. I figured once the trial ran out I would just lose the textures in the pack. Once in the game I couldn't change textures so I couldn't save. The cost seems reasonable IF it was a pack I was interested in. Hoping they get some medival style pack so we can get more block choices.
You completely misunderstood how the trials have worked in MC360 and specifically how the textures/mashups work.
The skin trials just give you less skins, but let you see all of them
The texture trials let you load the world up and look around to see how it makes things prettier, but not save.
no trials expire.
The key difference between the skin trials is you get a little taste for free. The texture trials are only useful for looking around.
Therefore, the only valid part of your testing was:
how did it look when you loaded the trial texture?
If you bought the full texture, do other users see the same thing regardless if they bought the texture?
Yeah, only just today did I walk past diamonds and not see it. Luckily my friend was trailing behind me and made the discovery. 6 ore cluster, I was kicking myself because I didn't see it.
Now, Diamond ore blocks are black or something. Heaps more noticeable.
1. this isnt a texture pack. it has textures in it but its a mash-up pack.
2 weve actually known about this for a while. before tu12 actually came out.
3. you should revse the title to say. do not get mash- up pack "trials". since its the trial you had issues with and not the mash-up pack itself.
And this kids, is why you should always know what you're getting before you screw it up some how.

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
No need to be "hating" on him. His server auto-saves every so often, in which he was just worried that the "trial version" features could of ruined the world alot of us play on.
It's just human error and it happens to the best of us, sheesh...
I did this too and no offense meant, but to everyone saying stuff like, "what did you think, they would give away free texture packs?" no, I was thinking it would be either a timed trial or a one time use trial and if you want to use it more you would have to buy it (this is my first time playing on xbox MC so I didn't know about what everyone is saying about how MC texture trials have never been a timed thing, I've only played it at my friends house or on my PS3 where all they have is 1 skin pack and it doesn't have a trial version). And to the comments about it saying that it does this in the description, honestly how many times have you fully read the details of things like a texture pack? A texture pack is a pretty straight forward thing, it is a package that changes the textures of items in the game, therefore I don't think I'd have to read it. This could just be me being super aggravated that I lost all my work though and there being no way to save it without remaking everything.
Long story short, it's just an understandable human error that this person is talking about, and it sucks that I had to find out about this by doing the same thing.
There's really no need to resurrect this six-month-old thread. Yes, we all know you should read the conditions on something before you use it. Got that. Now let it die in peace.
