ok, here is the deal. My old lady and I have been playing the game since the update mostly in creative mode so far building our town. we started an entirely new map. well, since we have started this map, we have been hearing weird music and sounds. we keep the BGM turned off all the time. but we have been hearing what sounds like chimes at times and at other times what sounds like a distant nether portal.

well, the chimes kind of sound like a note block or juke box, but neither of those have been put out in this world. and as far as the nether portal goes, we haven't built one of those yet, either.

does anyone have any clue what these sounds are? they are kind of creepy.

Ambient cave noises. You will hear a variety of sounds played (I think there are 12 different ones) whenever you are near a dark cave.

haven't been near any caves. so far, all our work has been on an open plain with no caves near by.
