Oh, yeah, I totally should have instead gone to the website listed right on the game's title screen: minecraftforum.net. Or maybe those official Minecraft forums they talked about. Certainly not this third-party site which has nothing to do with the developers, right?
Even the fantrolls are incompetent around here. How surprising.

Minecraft has no "offical" forum. This site was not made by Mojang. It's just the most widely used. So technically it does have nothing to do with the developers.

The game does not say... "For customer support contact minecraftforum.net." on the title screen; and the homepage of the forums does clearly describe what the forums are and what they are not... and for all your complaining about lack of professionalism, may I point out that I'm not the one calling people names here, you are.
ETA: I will correct myself on this and say that the OP does have a point regarding a lack of clear information about where to turn for official technical support and customer service. It is the "Community" page at Minecraft.net that indicates clearly that the Minecraft forums are a "great place to talk Minecraft with fans." Mojang clearly has a support section on their website for the PC version, but there is no link or any indication about where customers of the Xbox edition might turn for help. Also, I'm not sure whether it slipped through the cracks when the forums were reorganized, but I could not find any description here of what the forums themselves actually are in a general sense.

You should have contacted 4J directly. They do not own or operate this forum. This is a Curse owned and operated forum.
None of us here work for 4J, Microsoft, or Mojang. These forums are not owned or operated by 4J, Microsoft, or Mojang. This website technically has nothing to do with the developers other than the fact that they themselves are members just as we all are.
I actually have noticed some lighting problems that exist in TU12. I was building a Skeleton XP farm and the light form a torch I had placed stayed in the completely closed off room. I finally got it to go away but I had to place a block over every space on the same plane as the torch within the lit area. It was quite annoying, but nothing that made the game "Un-Playable".
I'm deleting this two-bit turd from my XBox and playing something that actually got playtested before getting sold. If you wanted me to do your playtesting for you, YOU should have paid ME!
Really because Microsoft tests the update before they even come out and why should a slacking 12 year old boy get paid for doing nothing? why dont you go play that stupid game called cod its full of kids your age that do the quickscopes

Now use a redstone lamp and try to get rid of the light when you turn it off, lol. You can get rid of it but it comes back as soon as you turn the lamp back on. It's annoying but I can deal with it until it gets fixed. The only thing I use the lamps for anyway are my mob traps.

he really shouldn't that game that "actually got play-tested" is so horrifically buggy he would probably burst a brain aneurism playing it.... on second thought yea kid go play.
So that's the way to handle customer complaints around here? Someone takes the time to tell you precisely why they're ditching your product, and the responses consist almost solely of "UR JUST [email protected]!one!!!" and "but programming is HAAARD!" Good thing you have all these sycophantic fanboys and forum trolls to protect you from any customer feedback. But why would I expect any level of professionalism after what I learned about your company from your product?
Good riddance to bad rot.
this was supposed to be a response to customer support? what was 4j supposed to do. "oh noes, please don't stop playing we will drop everything we are doing to dig through forums to find your problem in the wrong section of none official threads not related to or owned by 4j and spend all our time fixing your problem instead of working on the bug fix to fix everyone's problems"? was that the response you were hoping for, are you daft, where you dropped as a child, have you recently or ever eaten paint chips or huffed glue or any combination of the 2?

Too bad your this upset and I understand your frustration. Would like to see photos of your underground city if you haven't deleted it yet. In life, not just this video game, when you face adversity don't quite or in the words of Jimmy V "Don't give up, Don't ever give up"
I know, right? So much drama over an arcade title.
It's not like the game is unplayable. It's a bug. Bugs happen. It's not like the game kicks you out to the dashboard and you can't play it (like Defiance does to me). You're just nitpicking at a couple of minor issues and making a soap opera out of it.
I love that part of Defiance! Especially after shelling out 10 bucks for dlc lacking in content! Lol.
On topic... I know how annoying and frequent the light bugs are, but honestly, just build something new while you wait for it to be fixed. Theres ice near my castle that wasn't there before the update.. But am I freaking out? No, I knew that would happen eventually, or something along those lines.

I've made like 4 new maps, pretty much one for every update.
Every time I do, I build less and less, because my building gets more efficient.
