Is there a secret to doing this? I only messed with it for about 5 minutes tonight so maybe I was doing something really dumb. I was trying to place them about 2 blocks above my head and a majority of the time, they wouldnt go upside down.
If I have an upside down stair already placed, do I go off that one, or do I just go off the front of the block that I want it on?
You can't place them by trying to connect to one that is already placed. It must be on the bottom of another block. You can remove the other block once it's placed though.

The one and only way to place stairs and slabs upside down in TU12 is to place them on the bottom of a block above you.
