I know carts have been slown down after the new update. It sucks but I guess its ok...
My question is did they fix furnace carts and the messed up bumping physics?
When I start survival world's with friends I make the rail system and it would be nice to start with furnace carts thatwere more help than hassle. II've tried multiple setups for pushing chest and carts with me in them. Best I could do was 2 furnace carts pushing a ride cart and chest carts and I had to start the furnaces and run to the front cart.... With 3 furnaces and just in general carts bumping and not pushing and just plain wonky physics.
Secondly are there any basic starter station setups? Right now I just build rails up and down so I can shoot chest carts from caves (talking powered rails now). My railways are functional and useful just not pretty. Also to make a rail that changes which track you go on like a T intersection, it seemed like I could only find giant redstone mechanisms for such a simple use.
lastly pressure plate rails, havnt found a use for them yet. Any ideas?
Just a minecraft conductor seeking improvement thanks in advanced.
I couldn't help you. I think pressure plate rails would be fine if you had someone to step on them at all times haha. There could be many improvements to this.
If you actually stop before a T section, then really all you would need is a lever for it to switch either way. nothing really all that complex about T-sections, since it is as simple as that. What is complex is if you wanted to build a Station that goes different directions; CNB Minecart station does this. Not the most complex, but simple enough to make and is expandable.
Unsure about the furnance carts as I have yet to use them in anything...
The most basic starter setup I know of 2.
One where you have to jump and run to enter the cart before it goes too far; placing an angled rail at the beginning and you would have to place the cart every time you use this;
and a post with a button where the rail will lead up to. Power rail would be at the end. No need to power it as it is a stop. The button is to start the journey.
That is about all I can really think of at the moment.:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
it is rather simple, if you can stop before the junction. The lever needs to be next to the track that curves for it to work... you might not be putting it next to the junction itself and that maybe why... where did you place the lever?
Same thing basically as CNB, but more elaborate... and done on the xbox.:D that is the CNB station in part 1 and he mentions that. He just explains it a lot better.

I use this one from CNBMinecraft. It's expandable and not too bulky.....
...
That is basically what I mentioned, I just gave a video that for me at least was more elaborate in the explaining that specific station, even if CNB does a decent job of it, I think overlook adds a bit more to it than he... Both do a good job regardless. And both the one linked and the one you did are exactly the same station. lol
There are other additions to minecart systems, but those can be a bit more tricky to setup for those that do not know much about redstone...

Put pressure plate rails on either side of a powered rail to avoid having a redstone torch on the side and make your rails look smoother.
