For me, I actually prefer the MCX360 edition. I work on a PC all night, and have developed a bad case of carpal tunnel syndrome. Holding a ergonomic controller after 8 hours of typing and mouse-moving is more comfortable.
- Yes, I know you can set up a controller to work on the PC, and ..
- Yes, I know many pc's, laptops now have HDMI-out so you can play on your fancy HD TVs ..
.. but in my case, my laptop is not high-end, so MC doesn't look as nice on my TV as does the XBOX 360 version.
I also like that the MCX360 worlds are finite. Makes me have to plan my world a bit more carefully.
I do. I am almost forty, and am building a business, remodeling a house, and raising a teenager. It is so nice to sit down in an easy chair and relax and play some minecraft. I have my own small world. I can play with some friends online. It's all good.
I like the smaller size of the worlds in the 360 as opposed to the PC's seemingly infinite ones.
I also play on the 360 with others, which I avoid on the PC.
However, I also love experimenting with mods and resource packs on the PC.
I'm currently playing through Hexxit since Ars Magica refused to work.
I just never got into the PC version, can't explain why really. Love the xbox version. It's still my fave game since I started playing it, albeit that was only a couple of months ago when we got the xbox. We got a dozen other games at the same time, most have never been touched.
The PC version is kind of getting dull to me, the horrible ideas and server pay money after I spent twenty bucks on the game doesn't appeal to me
You have to pay as you go to play MC on PC? I didn't know that. The Xbox has its $60/yr subscription model, but that pays for all online gaming, and you don't have to pay anything to play offline.
I can't vote, because I like both equally. Each i view differently going about the game in different ways.
xbox has limits, and I am thankful for them. Namely the world size, as that makes it easier to play out what I want to do. The interface is easy to use and autocraft thing is a perk.
Pc has those large near infinite, well seemingly, worlds in which I could get lost in. This makes for a good thing as if and when new biomes are added I can just go out further and explore to find new terrain that I want. I think differently in the way I build things, as there is a whole lot of space. I may not have the top of the line, but finally, even with optifine I can play it well enough to enjoy the latest version.
Each has their advantages & disadvantages, and I take those into consideration. After all if I want to get lost in the pc version I will, if I don't there is the xbox version. I don't really use any mods beyond the one I mentioned, as I like the vanilla game for the most part. Each has a different experience and learning curve.:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.

I'm an even 50-50.
Even though I don't have the PC version, I like this attitude. Good on you, Phoenix. People should focus on enjoying it on whatever platform they are playing it on because of the differences each platform offers. and it is entirely possible to enjoy both equally. I say that if a person isn't enjoying a game on the platform they are trying to play it on, they should be playing it elsewhere or even doing something else with their precious free time. Life is too short and games are meant to be enjoyable and fun!
I wish I got out of Vanilla in MCXBLA and my PC is junk so my experiences with the 360 edition are better then the PC's. Even though PC is superior I still like the 360 version better.

Ditto, when it's just me and I want to play multiplayer: PC

I am not a huge fan of PC gaming, and I prefer console gaming better. I tried the demo for the PC version, and I hated using the keyboard to play. I like the controls better on the X-box 360 edition. (I love it when people complain that the x-box 360 edition ruined minecraft. ((Sarcasm)) IT'S THE SAME GAME, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!)

The pc version is great, but not as relaxing.
Plus I have Tijuana.

Ah. Thanks for setting me straight. Someday I may actually own a gaming-worthy PC again, and MC would be high on the to-get list.
