The below seed is the one refered to in questions.
1- This seed only has a one house village and no villagers. I thought I could add houses to get villagers, is that true and if so how? Or is this seed going to never have villagers. Playing 100% hard survival. tried adding to the village but not getting results. What specifically can I do? Single house village is in the desert in the top middle of the map about 2thirds up the map.
2- I have not found soul sand or nether wart in the nether yet. Even looking in the fortress. The fortress does have some gaps like mine shafts do when a ravine crosses them. I thought the nether issues were fixed several updates back. Has anyone found soul sand and nether wart on this map?
1) I'm willing to bet the seed did generate with two villagers... but playing on hard, it is quite possible that zombies have since wiped out your villagers. Unfortunately, without a villager, the game cannot identify the house as a village. I don't know yet whether or not we have zombie villagers, but there is an outside chance that you could re-establish a village population by rescuing a zombie villager (or a pair of them for villager breeding).
2) The nether wart and soul sand are probably there somewhere - in a netherrack cave. I did some checking for someone in one seed where, after a long time digging around in creative, I did find a single patch of it in a nether rack cave. It took a lot of digging though and I don't think I would have ever found it in hard mode... even if I did survive for a long time (which I don't tend to do in hard mode).

If in fact that is your only "village", your are sol buddy. It takes two villagers to breed to increase the villager count, which will happen if you build onto the village....probably. This game has strange rules regarding villager breeding.

if there isn't 2 villagers at night time wander into a plains or desert then find a zombie villagers(5% of spawning compared to zombies)and then feed the zombie villager a golden apple ...

Has that been added to the 360 version? I'm also on Hard and the zombies wiped out my only village. Haven't seen any zombie villagers though.

their aren't any zombie villagers yet... just the siege and villager breeding, even if they don't show that they are breeding...O_o
