On the Xbox, the title updates are not identified by a number when you download them nor is there a number displayed in the update file on your hard drive. Also, each previous TU file is deleted whenever a new one is downloaded. So, you should only have one Minecraft update file on your hard drive and it's entitled: Minecraft Title Update.
If you still want to mess around with this - Backup your gamesaves to a USB (or not, if you're not worried about keeping them). Delete the game entirely and clear your cache. Redownload everything through your Live account. Written instructions are available on the Microsoft Live website. If you mess these stepis up, telephone Microsoft Tech Support.

It's not always the cause of all the resets that have gone on, but it is one that is frequently generated by the player without them realizing it.
