Anyone feel this might be the last update? The next generation consoles are coming up and with all this juggling of various releases I would think the focus has to switch.
with this being such a cash cow i think abandoning it for next gen would be a poor decision financially. And those are the most important decisions. The only thing they could do to be better would be resource packs, skin packs, and possibly even special downloads.game modes like skyblock or something. as long as it is reasonably priced the money will just keep rolling in.
we still need a fix update... at least... plus there are a few things that 4J did mention will be in a latter update. doesn't bother me whether certain things get added or not, I am just glad for the upside down stuff and auto-arrange stairs are finally hear; despite the lighting problems...:D
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
They wouldn't just come out with the PS3 and vita versions (similar if not exactly like the 360) and then abandon them all for next gen.
I think your thinking is not thought out.
no, if you care to check 4J's twitter page (you don't even need a twitter account to do so) you would know that they plan to keep updating 360 even after the One has dropped. Doesn't really effect me though, I'm just going to build a computer and forget about the consoles.

I really don't like how upside down stair/slabs are handled, makes it a royal pain to use these. I really hope it improves in the future. Slabs, stairs should allow you to place based on the area of a block your looking at. What I mean by this is if i'm looking at the top half of a block the stairs/slabs should be placed upside down, and the bottom half allows placing normally. I don't recall this behavior on the PC. having to litterly crawl under each block to place something upside down is just annoying.
The only other thing i noticed was that iron gollems are not aggressive to slimes. But over all i was very pleased with this update, glowstone vertical wiring and diodes now work, but sadly we don't yet have half slab wiring but all in due time.

How we have to place upside down stairs and slabs right now in TU12 is exactly how the PC players (me included) had to place them when they were first added to the PC. They did not start off the way you want to place them that currently exists on the PC.
In regards to the topic of whether or not this will be the last update, it won't be. They've already stated more than once that they will be updating the 360 Edition long into the future.

1 more Then tehy will slow down to 6 months every update sicne they'll be working on WAY too many Platforms.

I don't recall this behavior, however you might be right, but I've been playing the PC version long before the xbox version and don't recall this behavior of having to place them 'under' other blocks. They were at one point in time a bit glitchy when placing, but other then that they behaved pretty much as they are today.

Electronic Arts publishes a lot more games than 4J. They seem to be able to handle it.
What, you say that EA has a lot more employees, too? Well, yes, they do ... which is why 4J is hiring more people! I seriously don't get where this idea that every game company's staff level is fixed at some given number and can never be expanded, so if they do more, they have to spread people thinner.
It may be the last update, it may not be the last update. Skyrim was supposed to have 1 more DLC and instead Bethesda turned around and said, "Nope.avi!" IT COULD HAPPEN TO MINECRAFT!
I agree. We'll just have to wait to see... it probably depends on whether or not we maintain enough interest in it and a market for things like DLC. If they can still make money, they'll probably keep updating it. When there's no money to be made anymore, they'll abandon it and move onto something that will make them money. Some of it also depends, probably, on what Mojang does with the PC version. Nothing lasts forever.
