I have been trying and trying and just can't do it. I can get the stairs to happen some of the time, but its iffy at best! Anyone else having this problem??
you have to go under the block you are placeing it on then look up and place the staries/slabs IM A FULL STACK BTW NO MORE POSTS LOL
Yeah, i understand that if you go under a block it works with stairs, but i can't get that method to work with half slabs. Plus if thats the only way they plan on doing upside down stairs, thats WAY to much trouble.
(Note, I haven't played with the new update yet) Question: It doesn't work like in the PC version? I.E. Aiming the cursor at the top of the block you are placing the stairs/half block on?

That is the new way that the PC just recently received.
The way it works on the 360 Edition is the same way it worked when the feature was first put on the PC version. This is how you must do it on the Xbox 360 Edition until 4J adds the new way that the PC just received in it's last few updates.
wow i was just about to post saying i was surprised at how easy it is to place upside down slabs and stairs. guess id be rubbing it in though.. oh wait. lol
i am however finding that i have to repeatedly place and replace stairs for the smart corners, but its all good cause it looks awesome.
you just have to make sure you are looking at the underside of the block. some times youll look at the edge or another slab in the bottom position and itll try to orient it that way but its really not hard to do. if my xbl would work id have some pics up of my project with tons of both upside down stairs and slabs.
