To whom it will concern. I have played xbox minecraft for over 12 months now and have spent hundreds of hours building in my world. Originally there was only a very tiny part of my world with snow. Less than 1%. From the update before the most recent one came out a very large area has become covered with snow and ice covering some of my builds which I eventually sort of accepted but now even more snow and ice have appeared in a new part of my world which I intentionality steered towards because it was well away from snow. I am rather ed of about this considering originally less than 1% of snow was in my world and absolutely no where near my building area. I did not spend hundreds of hours building to have it covered in snow in a part of the map that had never had or anywhere near show or ice. I have spent far too much time invested in this world for it to now be unusable. Please correct this with an update to be able to turn snow and ice of. Again I'm pretty disappointed and ed of with this matterSent from Samsung Mobile

Welcome to the forums and a biome update. Move on or deal. I got five maps from before you were playing tha have the same problem.
I can't even begin to imagine how much it must suck when you've built a large city or whatever in a snow-free biome, and then a title update puts it in a permanent ice age.

Is it a chicken or is it a duck? - It's a chuck, because dicken sounds stupid.
Yep it sucks massively... people say just get over it but some of these worlds are worlds that we have put litterally months of time into playing for hundreds of hours, designing and landscaping it to be perfect so its not so easy to just get over it...
How hard is it just to have an option to turn off weather effects... Thats all it would take.
4J knew about the issue way back in 1.7, said theyd do something about it and never did

Glass ceiling is ugly as hell, due to the new textures it just appears to be a blurry silver smear across the sky and also it does not stop the water freezing in snow biomes.

It does actually.
The water to the left was frozen before I added the roof. I then used glowstone to melt the ice and now it's not frozen again.
Unusable? REALLY? You can always place down thousands of torches to get rid of the snow, OR you can use the glass ceiling (as said above) to prevent anymore from covering your builds. If you don't want that up there, then I guess you'll have to deal with it. :/ Also, to prevent water from freezing, maybe put glowstone or Jack O'Lanterns under the water? It worked in my friends world.
Or if you really don't care about your world, you can always create a new one and spend a ton of hours on that?
Really darkpitofdoom2. Thousands of torches. Yes that would look really good wouldn't it and glow Stone or pumpkin heads under the water. Again that would look really good wouldn't it. You idiot. I builders choose to build in snow biomes to start with but when all of a sudden a large a snow biome just appears in your building area ruining months of work its ridiculous. A glass roof is ugly and considering the roof size I would have to build to cover my builds it would take me weeks to do so but if only 4j gave the option to turn off weather. If those who like making comments of bad luck just deal with it then keep your comments to your self. Try spending over 12 months on one World to now have it ruined by a useless update that gave us barely anything
Really? Because the water starts freezing in my world well before it starts snowing
As long as there is a block covering that water source it will not freeze. My ceiling (Though it does not appear so) goes from the start of my ferris wheel all the way around to the edge of the world all the way over to the back of the island my beach area is on. (I guess that's a little hard of a perspective as you've never seen my world) but yea, water will not freeze if there is a block between it and the sky.

Consider your snow problem gone and some nice warm sunny days.
It does actually.
