So the new update is awesome......but I loaded up my city that me and all my friends play on constantly and Took me weeks to build and all the doors were missing what ever, but the update ruined it because it turned it into a snowbiome... So now the docks are all ice and it snows just making the city looks horrible.... Is there anyway to fix this or will there be a fix? Has this happend to anyone else.?
This is supposedly the last time an update is going to screw up worlds like that. From now on, biomes will be saved along with the rest of your world data. It boggles my mind that this hasn't been the case all along.

So will they fix the biome to how it was before? Because my city just looks horrid I'm really ed right now.

They mentioned once that they were looking at ways to allow us to affect biomes ourselves, but since then they've said nothing. Right now your only hope is to make a giant layer of glass in the sky above the snow biome. Since none of the blocks would technically be exposed to the sky, there'd be no snow or ice forming.
It was a massive blunder by 4J not to address this ages ago.
It was a known issue on the PC but they still did nothing about it.
I contacted 4J personally way back in version 1.7 and explained the issue they would have even before the 1.8 update and they responded to me saying they were looking into it... So much for that...
It's pretty poor that they did nothing with litterally months and months of warning.

HAH My Ex Home world from 1.6.1 or TU3 was changed to a mushroom Biome it got annoying because mooshrooms kept spawning in my cow pen so i abandoned it
Happened to me too at my beach area. One huge layer of glass over the affected area at build limit fixed this. It just looks like a very big cloud now. It takes a while, but some speed potions and some friends you'll get done it like an hour maybe.
I mean the update is awesome but when I create a new world it is 80 % jungle and villages aren't as easy to find.
I created a world in flat survival and got 10 obsidian, iron and trees.. I'm so happy about that!
I feel your pain, the old lady and I have spent the last month building a nice town in the swamps, and we open it up today and what do we find? the swamp is still there, but it is covered in snow and a blizzard is blowing. and to make matters worse, our nice, evenly balanced all biome world became a world with 60% jungle, 20% swamp, and about 5% of the rest, but ALL the swamp is covered in snow.

An image from my world today. I spent all day covering my beach area (The affected area) with a ceiling at build height. It no longer snows there and the water no longer turns icy. It was hard as heck to clean up, but it's perfectly fine now. So I'm fine with it.
