I have to agree with the OP... The last update came out in like May. It's a dissapointment to not have an update the whole entire summer. But we should understand, they are very busy, and it shall be out very soon.
All of these topics complaining about them will be replaced with topics complaining about some new bug instead. It'll be great to see a not-so-stale complaint for once!
#1 They're waiting for Microsoft to release TU12 since TU12 adds support for the Mash Up Packs
#2 They are waiting for some legal paperwork to be finished before their allowed to show the first Mash Up pack
Microsoft has 10 days to either approve the release or send it back for changes. The release was submitted on the 9th of this month, which was 13 days ago, minus the 2 weekend days makes it 11 days ago, so I'm sure that it has been approved by Microsoft. I did also hear that they were waiting legal paperwork to be signed for the mash-up pack. Perhaps they didn't time things well and assumed it would be signed by the time Microsoft was done. Either way, it is a bit frustrating to say the least.

this is true but at least we will have new discussion on what to build as well. man its stale in here
I'm going to go cry in the sock I reserved for when TU12 was released.
ps- These threads are getting very tiresome. Its called "outside" people... go there.
It's going to be even more fun waiting now that they are developing for 5 platforms simultaneously. Pfft...105 days! That's nothing, I can't wait for TU14! November 2014! WHOO!

More like November 2015, i really hope 4j knows what their getting themselves into.
It's funny how people can complain about going 105 days without a free update when the only way nearly every other video game receives content is through paid DLC. Then on top of having to pay for that content, companies usually only support a game after launch for a few months then stop making DLC.
You've waited 105 days to receive the 12th free update to a $20 game. People have bought $60 games that never see anything new and had no continued support beyond their release. People have become seriously spoiled.
No, only mine crafters have become seriously spoiled rotten and think they're entitled to constant free updates. Only mine crafters count the days since their last update.
Now if it was a game-stopping bug, I could see counting the days till a fix is posted.
But even if they never came out with another update we've more than got our money's worth and are way ahead of normal games. The reality is: legally there's nothing written in black and white. I don't have a signed contract in my hands saying 4J promises X number of updates a year or every X number of days- do you?
However, I wouldn't worry about 'updates' and when they come out. Yes, 4J has doubled, or tripled, their workload, but they're busy hiring enough people to meet their new 'contractual obligations' to MS and Sony (and us).
So when this update comes out instead of people posting "When's the next update?", wouldn't it be great if we posted a "Thank you!"?

People have spent 15 or 20 dollars on Arcade games that they beat the same night and never play again.

I will be kinda sad if TU12 doesn't come by the weekend. I'm not that pressed though since I haven't touched my xbox in like 3 weeks :3
I don't believe so. If they do that's really stupid.

Forum AdminI don't think they will ever release an update on a weekend, as they don't work on Saturday/Sunday.
