I was wondering is it better/quicker to light up the end with Torches/Lava, half slab the end or flood the end. To stop spawning and make an Enderman Farm. I think a combo of Torches and Lava would be best. But thoughts?
Endermen can't spawn on the slabs or lit areas, but they can teleport to those areas. I've found flooding the immediate vicinity around the farm and lighting any nearby areas of the island to be the best - especially if you want to walk up to your farm and go afk (afc?) for a minute, as that will keep those pesky 1-hit endermen in their place.
Also, remember it makes a big difference if you can build on the furthest available point away from the main island. Walk around the island with your map - build out to the edge of the map on the side with the lowest x/z value.
