Did anyone notice the tweet from 4J yesterday I think it was (may have been the day before), where they actually tweeted out a download link for the Xbox Washington DC world?
I find it kind of funny how people get all upset about people sharing worlds and how wrong it is, then 4J themselves tweet out a download link to a game save, haha.

4J themselves didn't post it, it was in a video they gave a link to

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
I think it's more the case of them not really caring if people share worlds, who or what does it hurt?
If they were that concerned about it, they wouldnt have tweeted that video which clearly had a download link in it and instructions on how to use it on your xbox lol.
I think this is a sign that perhaps world sharing will be in a future update, as it should be

I still wait until it gets into the game officially legitimately. \
People like to pick apart statements for "signs" like this when they're fishing for a way to justify for themselves have done something they internally believe was wrong. (It's called rationalizing.)
It's not 4J who should care whether or not you break Microsoft's TofS. It's Microsoft... and they can say whether or not you get to keep your Live account. Even if Microsoft doesn't care to ban a person because what they're doing is small potatoes compared to the account hackers they are trying to catch doesn't mean you should go ahead and do it. The most important person who should care about your own honesty and integrity is you yourself.
I'm not saying its ok to do it now, im just saying the fact that 4J dont seem bothered by it and would even tweet out a link to a shared world suggests that they wouldnt be opposed to including it as part of the game in the future :), and i dont see any reason why microsoft would mind either, minecraft is not a competitive game, so world sharing will only increase the likelyhood of people sticking with the game.

As a side note, I could care less about 'world sharing'.
I don't want to play your world, no matter how 'cool' you think it is.
I want to play my world- and I have no intention of 'sharing' it with anybody.

We agree then... and continue to wait for some legit world sharing facility to happen.

I too don't have a driving need to play someone else's world; particularly in some stranger's world... but I do see some purpose in close friends being able to share maps with each other or parents and older friends being able to produce personalized adventure maps for perhaps very young family members or the children of close friends.
The concept of "map sharing" tends to get pidgeon-holed into only the idea of having maps available for general public download and being able to access a ready-made minigame. However, there is some smaller, more personal uses for it. I tend to think of it more in the realm of sharing a personal "paper" photo album only among family members instead of just posting the lot to the internet for the "world" to see.

Minecraft not competive? Ask those who are legit and care about leaderboards.
I'd love to know why map sharing isn't allowed at present on the xbox, surely that has to be down to MS rather than 4J? For the PC community it's the norm. Other xbox games allow map sharing, so why not Minecraft?
Microsoft's ToS clearly states no modification to it's system or files. If we supported map sharing / modification, there is a chance that Microsoft could not allow 4J to post here. Until everything is green lighted, we go with the ToS.
This is also why we cannot allow "duplication" glitches that were / are present in the PC version. (sand generators?)
As for why there is no map sharing, that is a question only Microsoft and 4J could answer.
4J themselves have said they want world sharing so nothing surprising.
And a side note, they've been posting these videos of the Top 5 crap for a long time, each video had these download links. So this isn't new.

* There's the question of world sharing (big IF) between 360's, or between Ones. Between 360 and One (and it's obvious problems).
* There's the question of world sharing between PS3's, or between PS4's. Between PS3 and PS4.
* There's been no conformation I've seen that 4J is gonna do the Sony versions. Someone else might. So not only is world sharing between systems up in the air, so is multiplayer.
Of course, you all wantany world to load up on any system, and be able to cross-play between all 4 systems.
But that you want may not be what you get, or is even possible. You may just have to pick your poison and 'deal with it'.
All we can do is wait and see. Too early for us to even make a guess.
