I've been off of Minecraft Forums for a while because I believe that Minecraft gets boring when an update is coming. Usually, when an update comes I get happy, play Minecraft for days then get bored when a better update is coming. Anybody feel the same? Can anybody help bring back the "spark" when I play Minecraft?
The only time I get bored in Minecraft is when my imagination goes kaput. Kind of like writers block. The only other reason I don't play Minecraft is because I have a lot of other games to play as well. I still jump on Battlefield 3 every day in preparation for BF4. Animal Crossing New Leaf requires a bit of attention. Etc, etc, etc.
The new update will be exciting for 1 week and then everyone will start saying the game's boring. Mostly half the community will be asking about TU14 and it's additions after the first hour.

You should try playing multiplayer. Look on the Minecraft multiplayer section of this forum and play on a server or play Hunger Games. What makes Minecraft is playing with people.

I'm a bit bored, but I recently moved, and can't get my pc out of storage, so I just had my Xbox 360. I last played on the pc with the pre-release of 1.5 and I probably won't play on the pc until the 1.8 snapshots. So for the Xbox, I am bored, but otherwise I can't possibly get bored with the pc.

I tend to alternate between big builds and redstone so I never get bored.
Then I add multiplayer and I will be on for hours.

If you're getting bored of Minecraft take a break! No one is forcing you to play it. Play some of your other games or just take a break from games for a while. When you decide to come back the game will seem much more fun and interesting. Just learned this from personal experience of Minecraft

For me it can get boring but when i can get friends to play it does get fun again but im hoping TU12 comes out soon because im pretty sure alot more people will be playing minecraft again

True. I'm not bored with the game yet, but I am truly bored with this constant cycle of updating. I'm pretty sure I'm going to start declining them after TU13 (since that will most likely be the bug fix for TU12).
