So me and a friend built a giant castle in minecraft out of cobblestone. It's actually pretty good. We have a dining hall, the kings bedroom, a tower for enchanting and potions, a dungeon (that I could definitely add more to) and a minecart track from where i built my original house. Do you guys have any other suggestions of what else should go in my castle? I was thinking about maybe making a big wall and putting a big garden and building lots of little village homes within the walls. Do you have any suggestions?
Oh, I figured you were on Creative. You could build a minecart track to a nearby village and cart each villager back individually, i.e. push a villager onto the track. Then push a minecart toward the villager so the cart picks him up and place a furnace minecart behind that cart. Once the villager is at your castle, trap him someplace where he can't escape.
Yup, except if you have gold, USE IT! Gold is only good for potions and railways. A powered rail track is faster than a furnace minecart.
Also, another thing to add to the castle is secret passage ways. Like an escape chamber in the throne room at the press of a hidden button/lever behind the throne.

If you go through with the above idea, make sure there's a lot of doors so they can breed.
Maybe a barracks where the guards and soldiers would rest. A Treasury as well, and possibly a storage room in certain sections like a kitchen area where they would prepare food & drink. Possibly a jousting area in a courtyard somewhere. Might need a bit of area for that one. Else it could be a fighting pit where Knights duke it out, or place where people could challenge each other in an arena type environment. make a blacksmith for your every day sword and weapon needs.
Stables for when you get pigs & saddles to go with them. Although might be more for looks, but at least would look in place with saddled pigs.:D
