I found out yesterday that the Xbox version of Minecraft is finally getting texture packs, which, will make me play Minecraft on the Xbox again.
So, have I missed anything as far as how they'll work? 'Cause I haven't been able to find any info.
I'm wondering if they've announced what texture packs we'll be able to get, and the cost. And how it'll impact your sever, for example, if I have a texture pack enabled in my world, when my friends join, will they see it to, or is it whatever you're using, regardless of who's world it is, that's what you're going to see?
No, they said support for texture packs will be added, and then I'm sure they'll start talking about the ones they're releasing.

4J has said that shortly after TU12 releases, they will be announcing the first Mash-Up Pack DLC. It will be a Texture Pack, Skin Pack, Music Pack, UI Pack, etc. It will change almost everything in the game. They will obviously cost money, hence the Trail Version of the packs.
Trail Versions are being handled so that you can play and see everything they do, but you cannot save your game while using the Trail Version.
