Just asking out of curiosity and to see what the community thinks. My least favorite is Taiga for these reasons: 1. Too hilly, makes it harder to build 2. Can't grow crops 3. I hate spruce, farming it and I dont like the color
Extreem hills. Worthless. Not even worth climbing- I just go around them.
(Too bad jungles are in the poll- I would've voted for them. Compared to the other biomes, they're totally worthless and a waste of space.)
Are theses the biomes we have?never bothered to pay attention. But I'm pretty sure xtreme hills ain't one. Anyways. I dislike biomes the impede my ability to navigate water. I've yet to build a good icebreaker or Lilly pad breaker.
Im gonna say the deserts.. while they are great for enderman and creeper hunting. if you are across the desert away from your stronghold or outpost... there is a good chance they will gang up and kill you... then all of your hunting was for naught.
I hate oceans, as I hate swimming across them and I can't be bothered to make a boat to have with me as I explore until I can pick it up after I'm done with it. They're also empty and there's nothing to look at, except on land that's not part of the ocean biome.
Minecraft wiki labels extreme hills as a biome so I added it. Was thinking of adding jungle as well but since ive never played PC and theyre not out yet its hard for me and maybe some others to judge that.
Oceans. Personally I love to build over the ocean but for 2 reasons I voted them my least favorite. 1- they have no unique resources. I play with a lot of other people 24/7 server and ocean area means lost land area.
I can't decide between ocean and grassland. Oceans have the huge disadvantage of having nothing in them aside from squids. Even the few small island that you encounter occasionally have no wildlife. And grasslands, while having at least animals spawn in them, are so utterly dull and boring, I regularly delete new worlds if the grassland biome(s) make up more than 1/4th of the land mass.

Is it a chicken or is it a duck? - It's a chuck, because dicken sounds stupid.
I also don't have a least favorite biome. While there are certain biomes I avoid building in, I'm never like "Ugh, I hate this place."
While Oceans have the least potential, they are an awesome location for building a Gravity-kill Trap.
Oceans: Not much in them, but at least there is room for an underwater city.
Tundra: Also known as snow plains is just too barren, just like the ocean, except ocean at least has mushroom islands. I would like the snow more if there was more to them like snow villages or something. (igloo made or snow housing of some kind) Also having a tree or two, but that might defeat the purpose of them, I really don't know.
I don't really build in snow since 1.7.3 while back, because the generation now is a bit iffy on those type of biomes now. Not as amazing in the generation. They do every so often have features I like, at least the taiga does, but the tundra/snow plains does not. Hills of snow with hardly a tree is just not what I would want to build on or in...

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.

as someone who likes to build cities and communities, grasslands are great. they are generally flat and are easily landscaped so i usually build my home there
i dont like extreme hills or oceans if they are too big
Something weird I have noticed though is that there is a giant island made of only smoothstone. Is this supposed to be there or is it a glitch?
Its part of the coding. Occsaionally, a section of the land will generate with stone instead of grass at the surface. This is to simulate natural rock outcroppings.
If you mean "island" as in surrounded by water, then I would say this is a fluke, but not neccesarily a glitch (in terms of faulty coding).
I hate swamp/marsh biomes and deserts a lot... I also dislike how the grasses look in biomes like swamp and snow/mountains. My favorite biome is the forest and the ocean is fun 2 build stuff in.

I have no least favourite, but my most favourite is gravel beaches.
Stay fluffy~

I don't get wood from jungles. o_O
